So easy to use

I used to live in a small apartment and we never had any problems getting a wifi signal or good speed. But we recently moved into a pretty large house. We have placed our router centrally. But because the house is so large and because we have a lot of different devices running off of it it tends to lag quite a bit, as well as there are several dead zones in my home. And if there are too many people using it it will just freeze up completely quite often. I was so excited to find this device, and after a bit of research, decided that it would probably fix all of our problems. I was right! My internet has never run so quickly. There are not any more dead zones and we can all use it at one time without even noticing a difference. I am only upset that I didn't get it quicker. One of the things I really appreciate about tit as well is that it doesn't need any special installation. It is very easy to figure out, just plug in and a few minutes later it is up and running. And you still have complete access to your outlet. This is the perfect product! Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount or free in order to provide my honest and unbiased opinion. I need to start out that I went through a lot of hoops to make this work, not the fault of this product but the fault lies on Xfinity.
Xfinity leased modem/routers block all universal wifi range extenders...so stupid!!! So I brought my leased modem back to the Xfinity customer store and used one of my own old modems and wireless routers that I had sitting around. Once I was able to get my network setup with my old equipment this thing worked miracles!
My house is a large flat one story house and the wireless router is at one end of the house. Therefore it does not provide strong wireless internet at the other end of the house. So I was able to position the Amped Wireless Range Extender in the middle of the house and it gave me a very strong connection in all corners of the house.
Setup was extremely easy. Their dashboard makes it very easy to navigate and complete the setup. The instructions provided are very thorough and clear.
I love the feature of the pass though outlet. Because I was using this in my living room where my TV is I needed that extra outlet. So that was very useful. Also, the ethernet port was great for our AppleTV. The wireless signal was good enough to stream Netflix and anything we watched but it was peace of mind having it hardwired into the Range Extender. I never needed the USB port but I can see how that could be useful if someone used this in a place where they could charge a mobile device.
I've never had signal issues with this and once I got through the hoops that Xfinity caused it is a great product!
The only drawback to this product and it really goes with any Range Extender...you have to use it as your primary WIFI for your house. Meaning, the network name that you setup on your wireless router should be something that your devices do not remember. The first day or so I kept having to switch the network on my mobile devices because it would default to my wireless router, therefore not allowing me to have full strength signal throughout my house. So I recommend re-naming your wireless router networks to something you will never use and setting the network name on your extender to what you would normally use. Then go through all your devices and delete or change the default network that they connect to. At this point your wireless router in simply there to give internet to the Range Extender and your Range Extender becomes your primary source of your wireless network. DO NOT try to use both through out your house you will constantly be switching between network names on your devices.

This is a great product to have for those dark corners of your home or office that doesn't have the best of wifi signals. That spot for me is in the basement, because we have a cinderblock lined basement instead of the normal wooded framing. Yeah that's right. Big bad wolf just try to blow our house down. Anyway, as seen in the picture I've provided, (It only let me put one picture on) that spot in the basement which is right where the very comfortable chaise lounge sits has horrible connection speeds, so we don't even go there. Once I plugged in the Amped Wireless High Power Plug-In, I could get nice and comfortable on that chair that has been vacant for far too long. The download and upload speeds jumped way up, making the usual lag in that spot non existent.
The setup was pretty simple, and the directions were very clear and easy to understand. Before you begin however, make sure you know your wireless passwords so you don't have to call your husband at work to get them. The process is relatively fast. There was about a three minute wait time to configure everything and then a couple of minutes for it to warm up before I was able to get the much higher connection speed readings. The outlet plug on the actual device is really nice to have, so it doesn't take up a spot on the wall that you need to plug something else in.
In all, it's a great product to have to enhance your wifi experience in those spots that need it the most.
Also, the before Speedtest- Ping 63ms Download 0.95 mbps Upload 0.39mbps compared to the after which is the only photo I could download on this site. I don't know about you, but that is aaamazing! I definitely recommend this wifi extender!

This is a really great wifi extender. Literally one touch set up. Plug it into any wall outlet within range of your current wifi signal. And this extends the signal. I have a trailer 300 ft away from my house, and tried to get wifi over to it. Plugged this in an outlet on my outside covered deck, and pointed towards my trailer. Signal actually reached the outside of the trsiler just fine, but hard time penetrating the walls, so inside signal too weak, so ended up returning it. But very impressed with the range and ease of use.

This product is a great wi-fi extender!

This product was eagerly awaited at our house. I have four teenage boys who have cell phones and gaming systems. We are constantly fighting over who has to get off so that the rest of us could use the WiFi. We were so excited when this arrived. We went and bought an Ethernet cord. Be sure that you have this on hand when your extender arrives!
We are very happy with it. Our WiFi is much better with all of our devices. Our home is about 2500 square feet and it works great at any place in the house.
I was also very happy with the packaging. The instructions are easy to read, and the CD is an awesome addition! It arrived on-time, which is always a big deal to me.
We are very happy with this product!

I placed this in the back bedroom of my house, which is the opposite side of where my router is.
The signal is much stronger thanks to Amped. With dual band capabilities, it's nice to choose the best signal.
The only thing I don't like and it's not the extender's fault, is I have to manually switch over to the Amped wifi extender when my signal gets weak. There is no auto select mode (not that I know of).
Otherwise, it's a great item to have for those who have low wifi signals around your house. Definitely recommend it.

Range extender works well!

This Wi-Fi range extender worked better than I expected and worked on the first attempt. Signal was stronger beyond advertised range. It was easy to install.
