You guys are really pushing it. The Product works as intended, the service I received was far more than I expected. The technician, Andrew, #108, was very patient, and knew his stuff.

3,200 sq. ft home, in a hill, 3 acre yard, increased y coverage to the whole house & increased speed. Had trouble getting it out in the yard but was using iPhone to test signal, chatted with tech service & they said iPhone is not as strong as laptop & to try my laptop, did that & had signal all over the yard also!!! Easy to set up, just follow directions.

Pretty good wireless repeater
Posted by: ChrisinMass from: Nashua, NH on
Overall this is among the better wireless bridges I've tried and it does a good job of allowing a stronger connection two floors, and numerous walls, away from my Linksys wireless N router, effectively doubling my average speed from about nine to eighteen Mbps. Setup was a breeze on a Mac and connection with the main router is consistent and steady, with no drops that I've seen, something that was problematic with every other bridge I've tried. It is pricey for the performance in my opinion, but a necessary evil in a townhouse.

This is NOT a good router!
Posted by: Joshin from: Orlando, FL on
I would have to say that this was one of the worst electronic purchases I have made. Needless to say, I returned the product promptly. This router was super hard to install because of install wizard issues. The wizard had me so frustrated that wanted to break the machine. I calmed down and eventually finished the install but couldn't even tell that I installed an "upgrade". There was zero noticable difference in signal strength and the signal was also quite unreliable. I had to reset the router multiple times a day and finally gave up. I purchased a competing brand and have had amazing results that caused me to realize just how bad a product Amped is.

Had higher expectations

According to the specs on the product its suppose to be one of the best regarding range and instead it was an epic fail for my home. I did not try an extender and did return it for a netgear router. The interface and install could be challenging for the average user. Probably good for 700sqft area.

Has a lot of advanced features

In the end I am going to return the unit. 10,000 sq ft is only about 65 ft from what the company tells me. It didnt penitrate walls to give me the outside range that the company boasts. Without that range the unit is not worth the cost to me

Best router out there.

I have tried every high end Linksys, Netgear, WD, and DLink and this router takes the cake. 5 min first time user setup. For more experienced user the additional features take the cake. If you ever think of feature they don't have already ask them on their Facebook and it happens. Support department seems to work for everyone who uses it just check out their Facebook wall. Coverage, speed, and features are awesome. Four laptops, three desktops, two ps3 , Xbox 360, wii, 3 iPads, 3 mobile phones, 5 wifi security cameras. Not a coverage or speed issue yet.

No significant gain in signal quality
Posted by: AuMiner from: Reno, NV on
I've been trying to use reasonable quality 2wire and Cisco wireless (both with internal antennas) in my home but have certain areas where the signal is poor. I was excited to see a 600mW radio on the Amped wireless and bought into the claim that most wireless AP's are 50mW (per Amped website). What I found is that my 2wire is actually 400mW, but still 600 is more than 400 so figured the Amped AP would perform better. In reality I have better service with the 2wire in the far corners of my home. I will comment that I do see a slightly higher signal strength using a wireless analyzer with the Amped than 2wire, but overall performance with Internet browsing is still better on 2wire than Amped. Overall, I would rank actual performance as being mostly on par with typical home grade AP's. My results seem to be on par with other reviews I've found (post purchase) on the Internet. I haven't tried the 5Ghz for gaming yet and hope that performance is better at the shorter ranges. Next purchase will be the Amped repeater in a last ditch effort, but will be in for more than $300 and very unhappy if performance throughout home doesn't dramatically improve.
