For a great country voice, buy this album! Posted by: from: on I have nine of Alan Jackson's 16 studio albums to date and this is one of his best. If you don't own any start with this album and work backwards. I'm eventually buying the remaining seven that I don't own now. His voice is one of the best in country music.

Alan Jackson delivers! Posted by: from: Southgate, MI on With "Angels and Alcohol" Country legend Alan Jackson proves once again that you don't have to sing about having a wild party in the backyard with the tailgate down in order to produce a good sounding Country record. Not straying far from tradition, Jackson continues to forge a path for people that still love and respect the classic format of Country music, yet still finds a way to keep his topics relevant. It is a rare occasion for me to like just about every song on an album, but this record is one of my new favorites! I'd highly recommend it to anyone out there that still yearns for real Country music....music that you probably won't hear on any mainstream station for that matter, which is really too bad considering the fact that most, if not all of today's mainstream "Country" acts sing and strut around more like a Pop/Rock star than anyone else. No matter, as this is a record that I plan to listen to for a long time. It is also crystal clear that Alan has enough of a loyal fanbase that would never consider deserting him no matter what happens. On that note, I do hope that Alan will continue to record for years to come. The same can be said for his good friend George Strait, also known as "The King of Country." These two have really left an impact on the Country genre, and it's easy to see why. Lastly, even though I don't think about it too much, it'll sure be a sad day when they both take on a full retirement.

Alan Jackson still keeps it country Posted by: from: MD on Alan Jackson has always been able to be counted on for a good mix of great lyrics and traditional country music, and this latest albumn is no exception. In usual AJ form, there is a mix of fun songs (Jim and Jack and Hank) and serious thought-provoking ones (When God Paints), all of which feature the country sound that AJ fans have been accustomed to. The only minor complaint I have is that there are only 10 songs.:) I'm glad to have another great Alan Jackson albumn.
