Overview

Synopsis

The Grace Card
This earnest evangelical drama draws inspiration from the Bible verse Hebrews 4:16 ("We will find grace to help us when we need it") in its tale of a police officer named Bill "Mac" McDonald (Michael Joiner) whose life is shattered (and his faith severely challenged) when he loses his son in a tragic accident. Eighteen years of rage and hostility ensue, marked by rapidly crumbling relationships with his family members and strained relationships on the force. Events reach a fever pitch, however, when Mac gets partnered up in the squad car with Sam Wright (Michael Higgenbottom), an African-American ordained minister-turned-cop with a loving and supportive family. Despite the many obstacles standing in the way, the men gradually work toward overcoming their differences and helping one another. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

Faith Like Potatoes
Angus Buchan's award-winning autobiographical novel is adapted for the big screen by director Reghardt van den Bergh, who traces the story of the rugged South African farmer as he endures remarkable adversity on his quest to discover the true power of faith. Set in the tempestuous hills of the KZN midlands, Faith Like Potatoes follows Buchan from his early attempts to achieve material success, through the personal transformation that follows a series of seemingly insurmountable losses, and a close friendship forged with his faithful Zulu farmhand. Like the potatoes planet in his field, Buchan's faith remains hidden until the harvest, when he learns how the power of faith can help him to begin the personal healing process, and become more accepting of others. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Angus Buchan's Ordinary People
The inspirational true story of farmer-turned-evangelist Angus Buchan is inter-cut with the tales of a criminal who cheated death, a desperate auto mechanic, and a weary alcoholic in this transformative faith-based drama. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Rust
Pastor James Moore (writer/director/star Corbin Bernsen) returns to his hometown after losing his faith, and defends a childhood friend from accusations that he murdered a local family by setting their house ablaze in this faith-based drama produced, financed by, and starring the residents of Kipling, Canada. In the process of seeking the truth, Pastor Moore re-discovers the profound healing power of faith. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
