Great blend of new and old Posted by: from: Twin Cities, MN on Animal Crossing New Leaf is the definitive entry in the series, and a must own on the platform. This series has a charm that is hard to quantify, and game play that is strangely captivating The series took a misstep with City Folk bringing you out of the village, and removing the special visitors that helped make each day exciting. New Leaf solves this problem with the new main street and ability to be Mayor. Never before has the player been so engrossed in the life of his fellow villagers. The laid back freedom in Animal Crossing has always been a selling point, but the added depth and purpose has enriched game play. Each new villager and public works project becomes a hard earned triumph and a sense of pride for the town. Each villager has a unique personality, and this version is as well written as ever. Small touches and gestures really sell the villagers as neighbors, and help bring the atmosphere to life. The game play also helped by the new variety that has been added. The new island (no GBA cable needed this time!) has tours (mini games) that help test your skills and are a nice distraction with prizes. The new ability to swim is also a nice edition. The multi-player has also been upgraded which much appreciated. My only complaint is the lack of Microphone support which should be standard at this point. The graphics in New Leaf are superior to City Folk with much more detailed objects and environments. The scrolling world from Wild World is back and looks impressive in 3d. The 3d here adds to the experience without being distracting. It wont sell you on the systems capabilities like Super Mario 3d Land, but you wont turn it off. It is hard to review a game that takes a year to complete after only having a short time to play. The best test of all is will be playing this 365 days from now? The answer like this game is a definitive yes.

Fun Game for a Great Price :D Posted by: from: Miami, FL on Animal Crossing New Leaf is a very fun and addicting Simulation game where you the player becomes mayor of a town. You can make friends with the villagers and make projects around your village as you see fit. Single player has a lot of content and Multiplayer is great local or Wi-Fi. Fun and addictive! Posted by: from: on This game is absolutely worth the price! It provides so many hours of entertainment just going about daily tasks like talking with your villagers, building your town, catching bugs, and fishing. It's perfect to play in short bursts every day. I've played it almost every day for months!

My First Animal Crossing Posted by: from: on I purchased Animal Crossing New Leaf because of the good reviews toward this game. At first it was a fun game at first but after a month I only touch it maybe once a week. I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

Great casual game Posted by: from: on Great way to take a break from all the FPS games nowadays. Its just like Animal Crossing Wild World but more improvements. Its a bit easier to make more coins in this game than the DS version. For those who do not even know what animal crossing is, just imagine being in a neighborhood with 5-10 other talking animal neighbors and you just live your life. Catching bugs, fishing, snorkeling... you know, things you do in real life ;)

One of my favorite games of all time! Posted by: from: on Animal Crossing can be a hard concept to grasp at first but once you get into your own little town you will quickly be enamored by the cute characters, easy going gamplay and how many days, weeks, and months you can play without getting bored. Recently, my brother bought the game too and he can not put it down. The multiplayer is a ton of fun!
