As quiet as original asus supply5 Posted by: from: on Startup produces more than average amount of noise but it becomes very quiet after a couple of minutes. I leave my computer on all the time. After more than a month of use there have been no problems. I am very satisfied.

best buy for the money5 Posted by: from: on For basic builds, this has been rated as a tier 3 unit, meaning it is very reliable, built with quality parts. It's not meant for big video cards or overclocking your CPU but it will do very well in a gaming build that uses a single 6 pin connector for the power supply or any of the AMD APUs. Its not modular but not bulky either so cable management is still very achievable if you try. I buy this every time I build budget towers, even super low budget builds. Everything else in this price range (besides other Antec products) will only cause problems down the road. Only until you reach $80+ units do you start to see anything better.

Works as expected.5 Posted by: from: on After searching online for an Antec BP430 watt power supply, and being unable to find one at a less cost than this one was very difficult. Antec makes some of the best power supplies and I was not disappointed with this purchase. Installed with ease, and all connections were straightforward. I have been using Antec power supplies for over 10 years and have had only one power supply fail (it was a new unit from NewEgg.com). Returned it and got a refurbished unit back. The refurbished unit has been running strong since installing it over a year ago. Best Buy got this BP450 unit sent to their store a couple of days ahead of schedule and I picked it up the next day. Great unit, great stress-free ordering through Best Buy. I will continue to do business there.

Antec 450W5 Posted by: from: on I purchased this supply to verify the failure of another brand power supply, 500W. It turned out the other supply was fine but there was some kind of short on the Mother Board mounting, which I still have not found where. However I was able to move the board around enough to clear the short. Looking at the quality of the supply, it is impressive and performed right away when I did clear the short on the mounting.

Decent power supply for the price4 Posted by: from: New Jersey on Decent 450w power supply for the money. Cables could be longer. Used to replace power in Dell 9150. So far, still working fine after 4 weeks.

Got rid of the buzzing sound in headphone jack4 Posted by: from: Paramount, CA on I got this power supply when I found out that my old, cheap "520W" Orion power supply's dirty and inefficient power caused my headphone jack to emit static / buzzing that wasn't there when the old 300W stock power supply that came with my PC was installed. I figured that it was the fault of my off-brand PS, so went to the store and got this Antec 450W supply and installed it. Sure enough, the buzzing sound in my headphone jack went away, and everything ran smoother and quieter than before. My only regret is not getting a 500+ W power supply with 2 pci-e rails at the time I bought this. I was impatient and didn't want for mail order, so I got this instead of getting something higher wattage and modular. Gamers who want to pick and choose what cables they want clogging up their box and/or who want to run higher powered graphics cards or use SLI or Crossfire should probably just save their money and get something better. I want to upgrade my PC with at least an AMD R9 270X, so it looks like I'll have to swap out this PS with a new one.

is what it advertises4 Posted by: from: Riverside, CA on It is what it is. Then power unit went out on my PC. I've never replaced anything in a computer before. Ordered this on line e and it arrived within a few days. Fit right in. Was easier to replace than I thought. Had extra plugs that can be used for future expansion.
