Best Buy Customer Reviews

better than expected Posted by: from: on I've been buying Dell & Samsung monitors for a number of years now. Well, my monitor went out in a pinch one night, and I had to buy another right away. I went to my local best buy and the only 23"+ monitor they had in stock (other than Lenovo & HP which I didnt want) that was HDMI was this AOC. It's alittle larger than I wanted, but I dont regret the purchase now. The extra visual real estate is nice, and it really doesn't take up THAT much more room on my desk top. Performance wise I dont have any regrets. Nothing negative to say. I do love the anti glare screen though (the dell & samsungs were shiny). I would definitely purchase again.

Dollar for Dollar a Monitor that Can't be Beat Posted by: from: Old Bridge, NJ on I did a lot of research before purchasing two of these monitors. I initially was going to buy two Apple Thunderbolt displays to go with my Macbook Pro Retina but my research revealed the Dell UltraSharp U2713HM was cheaper and better in several ways then I stumbled upon this gem. I use my monitors for work, photography and the occasional movie. I couldn't be happier. I picked up two of these on sale $269 at Best Buy for price of one Dell UltraSharp U2713HM. Unless you are a graphics artist this monitor will work for you. It looks elegant and performs way above average. Operating the adjustment controls will take some getting used to but not a deal breaker. You may experience ghosting when streaming video but that will be due to your signal strength not the monitor. I use them to edit my photographs and I was pleasantly surprised the printed versions of my shots were dead on. If you have cash to burn go for the Thunderbolt or UltraSharp but if you enjoy a bargain as I do, trust me, you're do no better.

Big monitor, low price Posted by: from: on My 6 year old 27" monitor die and I needed to get a new one. I stop paying for Amazon Prime and did not want to pay the shipping, so I went local. I went to Best Buy first and then checked at Staples and found that BB had the best deal. I use it for graphic design work and video watching. I like that the IPS screen does not have color shifting like my old monitor did. One month in and so far no problems. I would recommend this monitor.

Beautiful screen, fantastic colors and clarity . Posted by: from: on It is a monitor , and it will give you all what you would expect from a 27" HD screen, multiple ways to connect it to your devices /old&new fashion ways/ , and the BEST of all is it's Colorful display , i did some adjustment, and man, I LOVE IT .. i am writing here for my fellow shoppers who are like myself, looking for a clear HD picture with a beautiful real colors. go for this one. other wise nothing super special about this monitor, and who cares anyway. .

Great Price and Performance Posted by: from: on Walked into the store looking for another monitor but purchased this one instead because of the price. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance at this price point. The colors are dynamic and images are very sharp. My only complaint is that their is no VESA mounting option as I purchased two of these units that I use mounted side by side. I was able to find an adapter on amazon which offset the savings a little but still well worth it.

Perfect Budget IPS Monitor Posted by: from: Lynnwood on I don't write many reviews so this gives you an idea of how great this monitor is off the bat. I've been shopping around for a large screen IPS monitor for the last month when I found this one. I then went home and read the reviews, paying particular attention to photography website reviews and after seeing their endorsements went down to pick it up. My photographs appear much sharper, text is fantastic for reading Kindle books and also for writing code. Bottom line is that everything displayed has much higher image quality across the board. The only thing left is to get a Spider image calibration tool and I'm set. Could not be happier or more satisfied with a purchase. Only downside is no VESA mount or DVI or Displayport connectors.

Good monitor, good price Posted by: from: Milwaukee, WI on When I saw this monitor at the low price it was offered at (and with favorable reviews coming in,) I decided to go pick on eup to replace my 22" 1680x1050 monitor. Setup was simple. The system automatically detects the connection used. The one thing that threw me initially was that there was no DVI connection - just one VGA and two HDMI. Fortunately my video card - like many from the last several years - does have HDMI out, or I'd have to have found a DVI to HDMI adaptor. I was starting to see flickering - sometimes occasional, sometimes fairly often - from the monitor. It turned out to be interference from the HDMI cable running too close to its own power brick - so be aware you'll have to be sure they have space. Since separating them a bit more, the monitor's been fine.

Fantastic monitor for an amazing price! Posted by: from: on I purchased this AOC monitor on the recommendation of a friend who is very into gaming and I don't regret it for a second. With such a large monitor, I made sure to measure the space I had available at my desk before the purchase, and I'm sure glad I did -- I only had 1" on either side to spare!! The monitor itself is very carefully and extensively packaged in the box -- removing the plastic wrap was a very careful exercise so as not to peel the IPS panel off of the front. It even comes with a sticker warning you not to remove anything from the screen itself, as that is the IPS overlay. Assembly of the monitor was an absolute breeze - simply unpackage the base and slide the monitor post into the base. The base allows the monitor to move slightly, but there is no height adjustment, only how much you tilt the monitor forward/back. The monitor also has rubber feet on the bottom and the monitor post acts to prop it up, so it can be used without the base. Picture quality is great, the size is amazing and the build quality is gorgeous. If only they made a higher-resolution one for this price, I'd be in heaven!

Flawed from the start. Posted by: from: on It had issues right out of the box with the headphone connection producing poor quality or static. I dealt with the issue by connecting external speakers to my laptop. Then after 4 months, the screen began to black out for a few seconds and reset itself. It was definitely an issue with the monitor as the rest of the system was checked with another monitor. Now the screen image has become unstable. Since it is out of the short 90 day warranty, the only option is to ship it to their far off service center which means I still have to buy a replacement monitor.

Excellent budget screen with a couple flaws Posted by: from: Michigan on I purchased this monitor as an upgrade from a 720p television set for use with my PC and game consoles (specifically an Xbox 360). The picture over VGA from my PC is crisp and has great contrast, but I did have to make a handful of adjustments to get it to my liking. The image that comes from the Xbox via HDMI is a bit fuzzy in the operating system, but once you fire up a game, it's quite good. Particularly colorful games really seem to pop on this screen. I haven't noticed any appreciable input lag or ghosting, and it looks good even at some fairly obtuse angles. The biggest complaint I have is that there is a pretty significant bit of light leakage from the backlight on the lower left corner of the screen. It's honestly not enough to bother me, but if you're a stickler for such things, be aware that you might take issue with this. Another slight minus is the capacitive touch controls: I'm a fan of physical buttons on a device such as this. They do respond very well for what they are. Menu navigation can be a bit confusing until you get used to which button does what. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. This is a huge, colorful, and overall very usable screen, and I would certainly recommend it to the budget-conscious who desire Full HD (1080p) and a larger panel.
