awesome Posted by: from: Barboursville, WV on RISE AGAINST is one of the premier rock bands in this nation. Their energy and "voice for cause" mentality put them in a class of one. Appeal to Reason is a classic, a great, great CD.

For fans of Bad Religion Posted by: from: on This album was a great surprise for me, seeing as The Sufferer and the Witness would be hard to top in my opinion. The guys of Rise Against have managed to put out another phenomenal release, with plenty of politics and fast music. Songs such as "Collapse (Post Amerika)" and "Kotov Syndrome" have a very Bad Religion-feel to them, while "The Dirt Whispered" reveals Tim's melodic sensibilities. "Hero of War" makes for a compelling acoustic track, which tells a story about the war in Iraq from the perspective of a soldier. All in all, this album is a great choice, and while it can get a bit repetitive at times, for the most part it is a lot of fun.

decent Posted by: from: on this cd has some good parts to it and some not so good parts to it. for any long time fans of rise against this cd will probably be a bit of a disappointment. the guitar tracks are pretty good a bit different for rise against but still good. the drums and bass are still the same old rise against. the vocals and over all sound of the cd is more pop than rock. so if your looking for some nice sounding pop this is the cd for you, if you want the old rise against don't get this cd.

Even Better Than Before Posted by: from: Dayton, OH on In my opinion it was the Appeal to Reason release from Rise Against that really showcased and took them to the next level and ultimately might go down as their biggest success. Every song is radio worthy and guaranteed multiple listens. Rise Against is at their best on this album and any punk/rock fan should take a listen if they haven't already.

Good album too much political views Posted by: from: on I loved the music on the CD but I give it such a low rating because I found a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Sticker in the CD. I am outraged because I these people should keep their political views to themselves. After seeing this I Will NOT buy any more Rise Against Mp3s or CDs.

Great Music Posted by: from: Springfield TN on I recently found out about Rise Against from a friend. He gave me a copy of Endgame, and I loved it. So I dug deeper into Rise Against and got this CD...even better than Endgame. I haven't stopped listening to it for weeks now. I also ordered The Sufferer and The Witness...but thats for another review.
