Always the best :) Posted by: from: Iowa on I'm a long time Apple user that for personal reasons had to leave the Apple side and venture back into the everything but Apple in technology. I have used my fair share of technology (being only 31 and a female) but Apple products by far are the best. I owned an iMac in 2004 that I bought used and thought it was great, so I bought a newer model in 2007 and liked it even more! Then I took time away from Apple products having owned an iBook, iMacs, original iPhone and iPods/shuffle/minis. I purchased purchased this new iMac to work in conjunction with my iPad mini on creative consulting for my clients. I like the flawless screen, the ease of the keyboard and mouse with no cords and the super thin appearance compared to older models. The computer runs fast and the screen size is perfect for using Photoshop and iMovie. I'm not missing a Cd/DVD drive at all. It only took me an hour to set it up to sync all of my settings and customize it. I'm very impressed and I'm glad I came back to the new and improved side of Apple.

Happy with purchase Posted by: from: on Have always been a pc girl but have always wanted a iMac, but I've been scared away because lots of people seem to find them hard to understand and use and I am NOT computer savvy so I was not even wanting to try and change. But after having iPhones and iPads for the last few years and my pc of 7 years just not keeping up anymore, I decided to take advantage of the Black Friday deal. And I'm completely in love. It's basically a huge iPad and it was super easy to get the hang of it. Especially since I already had an established Apple account. It's looks pretty, awesome picture quality and sound, also can't believe how fast the start up is. And love I don't have to deal with all those cords anymore. Still have to do some exploring and download some apps to get it where I'd like. Like photo editing and stuff. Not looking forward to transferring all photos and music but hopefully it won't be too hard. Totally impressed with this iMac and I think it will work well for my needs.

Nice low cost iMac with caveats Posted by: from: Eugene, OR on This is a very good iMac for users who don't need a lot of horsepower to run demanding apps. The i5 CPU only has 2 cores and doesn't support some of the 4 core CPUs extended functions. Additionally, the memory is not upgradeable, and neither is the hard drive should you want to upgrade to an SSD drive or a 7200 RPM hard drive. Other than that, this is a very good computer with an excellent operating system. It seems to run faster if you leave it in Sleep mode rather than turning it off. This may be due to drive indexing and improved memory caching. I'm not sure. One other thing: Don't expect to run games requiring a lot of graphics power as it isn't equipped with either iris graphics or a processor by one of the graphics card manufacturers.

Totally different from Windows Posted by: from: on Brother has been bugging me for years to get a Mac instead of Windows, so when my comp died, I went with the MAC. Totally different but thanks to Geek squad I am slowly learning how to do things. Hopefully I, in the end, will like it as well as I did my Windows...just a totally diff learning process.

Best computer i've ever owned Posted by: from: on This is my first mac, never going back to a windows based system, so much better. This computer works flawlessly. This isn't the top of the line mac, although I have to say it still works better than any pc i've used. Used mainly for bills, online browsing, and some online gaming which it works great for. If you are looking for an budget friendly way to own a mac, this is it. Best purchase i've made in a long time.

Great iMac for beginners Posted by: from: on This iMac is great! I bought this for my mother and younger sister who needed a home computer. You can never go wrong with Apple. Definitely recommend it for those looking to make the transition from a PC to an Apple desktop computer.

Nothing Like A Mac Posted by: from: Howell,NJ on This is my first Mac. I have always owned Windows computers. Of course they make good Windows computers but the Macs display is phenomenal. The response is great. It took a while for me to get used to it because of a different operating system. Many things are done in an opposite way from Windows such as closing browsers. The way to download your pictures to websites is different from Windows but I fiqured it out. The keyboard and mouse are wireless and have to be charged. I own the computer three weeks and I'm at 60% charge. I wish the iPhone was like that. The Mac recognized new hardware and installs it with no issues. It also recognizes other Apple products you own and works with those products. There is no Dvd/Cd drive. I bought an external one and it works fine. After owning this computer I will never go back to Windows.

Amazing so far Posted by: from: on I purchased this for my wife after her 10 year old MacBook died. She tried useing my PC for a few months but couldn't make teh switch from Mac to PC. I got this out of the box and set up in just a few minutes. I installed her Photoshop and Lightroom and she was up and running. I have not had to do anything else with it. This has all of the quality I have come to expect form Apple.
