LOVE my MacBook Posted by: from: on I was a little reluctant about switching from a 17' MacBook Pro with all it bells & wiatles but with two little twins running around the house I needed something portable that I could hold in one hand that was light keeping the other hand to control my kids. Plus I travel around a bit & was in need of something portable. Despite reading all the review & I did extensive research on the product. I loved the minimalist design the Reyna screen the new keyboard & trackpad & great speakers, perhaps the best I've heard on a Mac so far. Despite the cons the low processor of the Intel core M & the one port, which I consider a con I made large jump & decided to get it. In the month I have had it all my expectations have been exceeded it is fast enough if your a lie to medium user of tasks , which I am the most extensive apps I use are fir video editing & so far so good. Using dongeks which you will have to use is not a big haste & surfing the net is awesome. In closeting you must understand what type of Mac user you are before you choose any Mac, plus the price is a little on the high side but as a long term investment it will pay itself off. P.S: If you do get this get a case for this little bundle it will benefit you trust me.

A great computer, but wasn't for me Posted by: from: on The new 12" Macbook is a good computer, but I didn't like the keyboard and the monitor was too small for my liking. I traded it for a 13" Macbook Pro and couldn't be happier. The 12" maybe a good pick for you, but wasn't for me. Best Buy was great for having the 14 day return. I was able to trade the 12" in for the Pro with no problems.

Beautiful Computer Posted by: from: on I absolutely LOVE my mac. It is so thin and light. Originally I thought that it may be too small for my liking. I LOVE the size. The only downside to this computer is that it has a usb-c port that everything has to get connected through. As long as you purchase an adapter, this will not bother you. It is hardly an inconvenience to me. The new redesigned keyboard is a plus. The keys are a lot flatter, And in my opinion, do not make as much sound. I like the keyboard a lot more than the old Macs. The new redesigned trackpad is also really neat. It has the same technology integrated into it that the iPhone 6S has, Force touch. It is convenient for opening webpages without opening them all away. It just gives you a little preview on your screen. Overall, the new redesigned MacBook is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.

Don't Listen to online reviews Posted by: from: on After watching countless youtube reviews I was worried this macbook was going to be a big let down boy was I wrong. I wanted a minimalistic laptop that was built well and had decent performance and this macbook fits the bill. The 12" screen and shallow keyboard seemed very awkward at first but I'm more than use to it at this point. Normal 15" screens now seem down right huge and I can't type as quick on a regular keyboard. Never had an issue with performance on this machine, use it for basic office work, web browsing and media consumption. Battery is great and the speakers are down right good for a laptop this size. I would stick with the base model and if you need more storage just get a usb-c flash drive and your good to go.

Great Product, even better customer service Posted by: from: on I ordered as an "open-box" in excellent condition because it saved me a few hundred dollars to skip the part where you get to take the plastic off and be the first to smell it. Everything was great except that the right side of the space bar didn't function!! Well I took it to my local Best Buy store here in Greenville, SC and had the best customer service I've probably ever experienced. Long story short, they didn't have another open-box macbook with which to exchange mine so the manager swapped it out for a BRAND NEW one!! I was so pleasantly surprised! Thank you so much Jason (manager) and Latonya (customer service / Geek Squad) Great product that you simply can't compare against the Microsoft types. Apples and Oranges

Wasn't Sure at First, Now Amazing Posted by: from: on I've been using laptops for years, and this was the first one I bought that gave me second thoughts. I loved the size, weight and speed, but the keyboard... Just wasn't a fan. Was getting ready to return it, and a friend said to give it a few days, and I'm glad I did. It's still not perfect by any means, but I've already gone through the acceptance-to-like-to-really-like stages - might eventually be my favorite. Once you get used to lightly tapping the keys (rather than slamming), your typing speed increases and mistakes are fewer. Give it a chance, if it doesn't win you ever in a week, then return it for something else. I've got a feeling you won't, though. :P

Best looking Apple laptop Posted by: from: on This is my favorite Macbook to date! The form factor fits on airplane tables and small college desks. I had the previous verision which was relased in 2015 and it was also the base model. The spec bump in this is defeinlty noticable and appreciated. These computers are not work horses but they are very quick at doing most work; I run parallels with windows 10 with almost no slowing down. I would suggest the 2016 base to any 2015 macbook simply because of the updated grahpics, just my two cents.

The best Mac Posted by: from: on I've owned Macs for years and this little MacBook is one of my favorite computers I've ever owned. It's super light and portable which makes it great to throw into a backpack and go. Being a photographer who uses Adobe Lightroom, I was initially concerned about this not being powerful enough but it's handled things like a champ so far. Sure only having one port can be annoying sometimes, specifically when I want to import photos, but adapters are fine for that one instance. Overall, I love this computer and I'm excited to see where the line goes from here.

Good, but Pricey Posted by: from: on Excellent Apple build quality, although the keyboard really takes some getting accustomed to because of the very short key travel. The screen looks great, and the speakers are simply amazing for a laptop. It really needs a second USB-C port; it is a joke that for this much money you cannot both charge your laptop and be plugged into a peripheral at the same time (you will need a more expensive adapter to accomplish this). The overall price is also a bit hard to swallow - most windows and new Chromebooks coming out with this Intel Core m3 processor and similar screen resolution can be had for $600-700 less.

Great macbook for an old school user Posted by: from: on I bought a macbook 2016 and it has opened up a whole new world. I am 50+, have been using an HP for 7 years and never knew the possibilities that were out there and accessible. I do now. Best purchase I've made in my adulthood.
