IT Director and YouTube reviewer: 5 stars Posted by: from: Michigan on The large screen is absolutely beautiful. Best Keyboard and touch pad in the business. Fastest SSD out, very powerful Quad Core Processor (next model will be Skylake 6th gen) but this is still a beast. Speakers are incredible (better with app called: Boom 2). Nice design and still the defect of all laptops in design. 16 stage keyboard back lighting. Brightness will blind you it's so bright. Battery life is around 9 hours and will never give you anxiety. With Parallels and/or Bootcamp you can also run Windows 10 perfectly so you get the best of both worlds. You can send/receive calls and messages when you pair with your iPhone. Mail app syncs with any mail server including Exchange. Office 2016 is compatible with all Windows versions now. Only laptop out for Windows that is as good is the Dell XPS 15 9550. Only thing you have to decide on is if to buy this one or the new Skylake version that will be released in May. 5 out of 5 stars. I hope this helped you. If it did don't forget to hit that thumps up (helpful) button.

Great However Better is To Come. Posted by: from: on I had purchased this computer in November of 2015. It was a great device. After having the computer for a week I heard news that apple is planning on releasing a newer model in 2016 which boasts 4 times the processing power. Being already aging model, which is about to be refreshed, I opted to return it and hold off until the new model is released. If you need a powerful Macbook Pro and have the cash now, I would absolutely recommend you purchase it. However, if you already have a Mac that is 2011 or newer, most definitely hold off and wait for the new model coming this year!

100% Satisfied with MacBook Pro 15 Posted by: from: on After years spent using my Sony Vaio I needed a new computer. As Sony no longer makes the Vaio I had to choose a different computer. I decided to make a total change and went with Apple's MacBook Pro 15. Even though the price is high, it is worth every penny. 1. This computer is FAST! I barely finish typing a website or starting a new program and the page/program has already fully loaded. 2. Even better than that is the crystal clear, beautiful retina screen. It doesn't even matter if you are sitting at al angle, the screen is perfect. 3. The touch pad is so much better than the ones found on PCs that I've used. There is no need to go the bottom left or right of the touch pad because you can touch anywhere on it to complete your action. I don't know why I waited so long to switch to a Mac but I wish I'd done so sooner. The BestBuy sales rep was as friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as the staff at the nearest Apple store are so that was a plus as well.

Fantastic Laptop Posted by: from: on As a long time apple user I haven't had to buy a new Mac in years. I finally found this computer open box for a great deal. I called Apple with the serial and verified it wasn't super old, but after finding out it was only about 1 week old and returned within that time I was psyched to buy it. Runs amazingly and the new OS is way better than the last 3. If you have the money and you do anything in the arts or creative world, this the the only Mac laptop for you. Only because I saw a girl in the store throwing a FIT to her father because he didn't buy it first before me (it was $450 off) I say this: if you are a college student (or the kid you are buying one for is) UNLESS YOU ARE IN MUSIC, FILM, or ART you DO NOT need a Mac. Parents: save your cash and buy a $300 HP that will do the trick. Don't spoil your kid with a fancy computer that offers no other features to them other than texting from their laptop from an iPhone!

No more Windows :) Posted by: from: on Being an Apple lover-I had been debating a mac for my next laptop. My Acer was awesome but I had it for several years so I expected it would putter out soon. Well- when I accidentally downloaded Windows 10- it hijacked my computer leaving me with sporatic internet connection and killed my battery. I researched to see which macbook to get. I would have loved to get the air since it is so light weight. However, I use the laptop as a work computer so i needed the most capable and a 15 inch screen. I chose the macbook pro 15 inch based on reviews online and on best buy since it was deemed the most powerful of the macbooks. I am getting used to a few appley differences but overall the macbook is intuitive like most Apple products. It doesn't take anytime to warm up like my windows computers and it always connects to the internet. I am able to use all my programs for work with no problems. Pricetag was more than I would have liked to spend however I am not frustrated which is worth something.

Perfect Laptop Posted by: from: on I bought my MacBook Pro Geek Squad certified open box. I was weary of buying such an expensive item open box but I am not disappointed at all! I didn't use to be a Mac fan but I played around with the displays a bit and really grew to love them. I use it mainly for basic tasks, Photoshop along with several other high demanding Adobe software for school and couldn't be any more satisfied with the performance. The flash storage very noticeably assists in the incredible performance and speed. Photoshop only takes 3 seconds to fully open up and load! This is the best laptop I have ever owned or even used for that matter.

Learning New OS and Applications Posted by: from: on I have been a PC user since 1981 when IBM introduced the PC. I have taught MS Office applications for a number of years at the college level. I looked at Mac computers off and on over the past few years. I recently purchased a GoPro camera and intended to use a PC laptop I own for video editing. The laptop I have is not powerful enough to process the video so I needed to look for another computer. I decided not to get another PC as Windows 10 is out and I am tired of constant OS changes and related issues with third party software. This computer has a 2.2 GHz processor and the price point seemed reasonable. I am learning the OS and applications included with the computer. I work a lot with MS Excel and am spending time learning the Numbers application. I don't know much about video editing and will be working with it as soon as I have a basic understanding with the Mac. The display is beautiful and the computer seems well built. I am extremely pleased with this purchase so far!

Worth the price Posted by: from: on Have been a PC user for life until buying the MacBook Pro. I went with the 256GB out of fear more than need. With really inexpensive flash drives, that shouldn't have been a worry, but opted for the extra hd space. Pros The speed is outstanding especially on startup. Everything is fully operational in less than 10 seconds from a cold start. I love the silence. Gone are the rattles and knocks that came with my last dell laptop. At times it sounded like a refrigerator compressor. The picture is amazing. Absolutely crystal clear. The touch pad is phenomenal coming from someone that always uses a mouse. Easy to use and really makes me second guess buying the apple mouse. The link between iPhone, iPad, and Mac is amazing and seemless. Cons Safari isn't that great. Switch to google chrome.

Love this machine - Thank goodness for Apple Posted by: from: on I have been using computers for close to 30 years. After the latest operating system forced on me by another company, I became angry and sick of all the things always happening with that so I ditched my old ways & bought the Mac Book Pro. I have been perfectly happy with it - no problems, no forced updates to download all the time, no nothing but work and use it like I want to & like it is meant to be used. Sure, it cost a bit more at the beginning, but the peace of mind and the ease of operation are worth the extra money. I am sold for good, forever. My brother tried for a couple years to talk me into switching and I am so glad I did. This machine was built with the user in mind!

As always, macbook delivers Posted by: from: on I am a graphic designer constantly using my computer and biking with it in my backpack and running too many adobe programs on it. I had a 13 inch pro for about 5 years and fell on my bike with it a couple of times and saved too many huge files and finally after a lot of abuse my logic board died. I bought this 15 inch and boy do I love it. It's so fast and the screen is absolutely beautiful. I plan on taking a lot better care on this one. This 15 inch was only 100 dollars more and has I think double the RAM as the 13 inch one level down. If you're thinking about getting a mac book and you use it for a lot of display purposes (design, art, editing, photography, video, etc) the 15 inch is really really nice. All in all wonderful computer.
