If you like Trackpads, this is a worthy upgrade Posted by: from: on If you like/love Apple's trackpads, this update is worth it. It took me a while to justify the cost, already owning the first Apple Trackpad. When I finally purchased, I never thought once about returning it. Not only is the battery life after full charge much longer than this trackpad's predecessor, you never have to remove batteries to replace or charge. As simple as it could be with the original trackpad, it always felt mildly infuriating to stop mid project to replace batteries. With Apple's newest trackpad, just plug in the included lighting to usb cable and it instantly pairs with your Mac, or recharges the internal battery while you continue work. The fit and finish is beautiful. The angle this new trackpad sits is less severe than its predecessor. And, the built in "Force Touch" is remarkable; you'll swear there's a spring in there somewhere. Get one if you're curious or need a trackpad — I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Wonderful Trackpad For Those Who Need It Posted by: from: on This trackpad is just like the one you will find on any newer MacBook, except it is about double the size. I bought this to use when my MacBook is in clamshell mode and hooked up to my tv as a monitor. It did its job wonderfully but I only ended up using it once. If I used my tv as a monitor more often I would not hesitate to pick up this trackpad again.

Best Add-on Posted by: from: on I love my Magic Trackpad 2. It makes using my iMac so much more efficient. Although I have the Magic Mouse, I use the track pad the majority of the time. It just feels like a natural extension of the keyboard. So happy I decided to make the purchase.

Nice Upgrade from Previous Models, but some issues Posted by: from: on I'll start off by saying that this is one sweet trackpad upgrade from the previous models!. Overall performance, and the extra real estate along with the 3D touch style integration is awesome! It also, of course, retains the gesture functionality still, which is good. I have only two problems with this new model: 1) It's way too expensive for what it is by at least $40-$50 bucks. This should really be priced more between $80-$90 dollar range IMHO. 2) For this price point on a peripheral, I'm concerned with longevity of the sealed battery for this product. How long will it last before it won't hold it's charge anymore? What is the Apple policy for battery replacement at that point? Would it even be worth trying to get it serviced? I'm hoping that when that day inevitably comes, I can at least just leave it hooked up to the computer via the lightning cable and use it as a wired trackpad at that point. Until that time comes though, there's no real way to test that theory out.

Great iNSTRUMENT Posted by: from: on iCan say this is a great piece of equipment (accessory if you will), or instrument needed beside any iMac, Macbook, or Mac mini. I was hopping to use it for PS or any other Adobe Program, yet I decided to return it and focus on a dedicated (third party) mouse, because of my big hand. Yet, as soon as I have the need, I will go ahead and buy it so I could use it with my left hand, magic keyboard in the middle, and my third nart mouse on my right hand.

Ease of a traditional mouse Posted by: from: Salisbury, NC on I bought this to upgrade my trackpad 1. Did I find a huge difference, no. But it is smoother and easier to charge. Had an issue with the trackpad locking in "pressing down," but it fixes itself after awhile. Overall, great to use to multitask on the mac

Good product Posted by: from: Boston, MA on The magic track pad is fine and all. The best aspects of it are it's built in rechargeable battery. It does a lot more than the regular Magic Mouse, gestures wise and so on but there are still some acts that seem more comfortable on a regular mouse like scrolling or adjusting the placement of a video you're watching. Honestly the only negative is the price. Most apple products would be incredible if they didn't always set the price range just slightly off into not worth it territory

It's perfect Posted by: from: on I originally purchased an open box Magic Trackpad. But overtime I turned off my iMac it disconnected and would not connect automatically. So I returned it. A friend bought me a new one as a gift and I love it. It was easy to set up and there are loads of configuration options.

apple mouse track pad Posted by: from: Clackamas, OR on This mouse track pad is pretty cool. It uses blue tooth technology so you don't have extra cords or wires all over your desk that can get in the way. Being able to move your finger on it is very convenient and very responsive.
