TOO PRICEY but nice to the touch, fits well Posted by: from: on Apple knows how to design a case that fits its products, but this case is just toooooooo expensive when you combine it with the Smart Cover. I understand the point is to allow one to really pair it with either the cover or the keyboard, but it just gets too expensive for the set. If you are like me, the case plus keyboard adds up to $200, which is TOO much money when the superior Create is available from Logitech for much less and provides full coverage and Apple Pencil storage. Which is another gripe, why is there not a way to attach or store the pencil with the Apple branded case??? For the cost, I can't recommend it unless you just need to have Apple. For a keyboard, look at the Create. For a case with cover, look at the Urban Armor Gear from Best Buy for 49.99 that provides full protection. If you must have Apple, this is nice and well built. If you want to save money and get more function, choose another option.

Perfect fit Posted by: from: on I debated between purchasing a full folio-style cover for an apple ipad pro to provide adequate protection from accidental drops, but I do a lot of reading, but many folios don't provide detachable front cover options or add too much bulky weight to the ipad, which makes holding the tablet up for reading for long periods uncomfortable. I preferred the custom fit and light weight design of the Apple back cover, although pricey given its simplicity. I would have liked that Apple provide both the detachable front smart cover and back cover included together for the price. The Modal folio is a strong competitor for the price.

Fine for what it is Posted by: from: on It's not the most stylish or interesting case out there, but since I did get the Smart Keyboard Cover, I figure I should get this so it pairs properly with it. It does a fine job of protecting the iPad Pro 9.7inch and feels decent in your hands. It isn't super slippery but isn't going to stick to any surfaces either. I bought this as an open-box item to save money as I did with all my iPad Pro 9.7inch accessories, so I recommend that if you can. Cons: It only came in this gray color (not sure if there are others), though it does match the Smart Keyboard Cover which also only came in gray. Also, I won't lie, the biggest issue is that it does have an off-putting smell to it, like a bit of burnt rubber or something. It is, however, only noticeable or strong when you get it closer to your nose so if you don't go out of your way to smell it, you'll be fine. I've had this for a few months and the smell has not gone away, go figure.

If you have the Smart Keyboard,,, Posted by: from: Wilmington, DE on Very few option in the iPad Pro 9.7 space. I tried several options with a case and keyboard. Most were re fits from the iPad Air with new holes drilled but magnets not changed. So I ended up with the SmartKeyboard which narrowed my case options (to only Apple). The case looks and works well but is expensive for what it is. Besides the prices, it fits nice and protects properly.

Excellent protection and fit, but overpriced Posted by: from: on Like any Apple product it just works! Love the way it fits and protection provided. Big downside is that you have to buy the Apple cover case if you also want protection for the rest of your device. Apple used to make an all in one case and cover all for a more reasonable price. Summary: you will not regret this purchase but is a big expense given that you only get protection for half of the device.

Perfect fit of course Posted by: from: on The silicone case by Apple fits like a glove of course (as expected) but the quality of the material is very high and feels very nice on your hands... as with most of the things that apple does, it's a nice user experience. I also bought the smart keyboard for the iPad and the two fit very nice and do provide great level of protection to the iPad.

It's a case Posted by: from: on I take good care of my equipment, so a more robust case is not needed. This case provides the scratch protect I desire without adding a lot of weight or thickness.

Not Worth the Price Posted by: from: on It looks good but it adds a lot of thickness and weight to the ultrathin iPad Pro. The silicon material is very slippery which caused me to almost drop the iPad three times over the course of the day that I had it before I returned the case. Definitely not worth what Apple is asking for it.

Serves intended purpose Posted by: from: on Purchased to provide a surer grip on the otherwise somewhat slippery bare metal iPad body. Likely offers little protection if actually dropped, but this tactile silicone back cover makes drops less likely. Feels good when handling, is attractive, and adds very little to the iPad's overall size. The three slightly raised button areas molded into the case allow button presses about as easily as if no cover was installed, output from the four speakers isn't reduced, and access to the charging and earphone jack isn't restricted. Although it fits the iPad quite snugly, it can be removed/installed easily if desired. I was at first concerned that small trash/crumbs would stick to the cover, but that hasn't been a problem, and it still looks "like new" after weeks of use. Gave only 4 stars due to price being a bit too much for what it is in my opinion. Using with the Apple Smart Cover, which makes for a nice overall package, but is additional cost.

Nice companion for iPad Pro keyboard Posted by: from: on This case protects the back of the iPad Pro and perfectly matches with the keyboard. It continues to provide protection when you detach the keyboard, and it allows you to maintain a solid grip. No scratches for me!
