Useless Posted by: from: on I bought new iPhone 6S two months ago for my 17 yr old daughter headed out of town to college. The phone stopped working when she visited me, so we called Apple Care, after spending 35 mins on the phone, they advised me to call Geek Squad. Another 45 minutes and I was sent back to Apple Care, who tells me Best Buy should replace since it was purchased 2 months ago. I send my daughter to Best Buy, and they tell her to go to Apple Store. My daughter finds a store 45 minutes from my house (we do not have Apple Store in my city). Since she has no phone, or GPS. She was lost for 1 HR 45 minutes In the middle of nowhere. I was at work when I finally received a call from a very upset young lady. To say I'm upset, is an understatement. Thank goodness for Apple Store in Sacramento, they apologized for the runaround and took care of my daughters phone for free.

Great choice Posted by: from: on I'll admit it was hard to change from Samsung but over all we are pleased. I just wished that customization was part of Apple. Overall it's a great phone, plan and we are learning the system. The apple care program is a great option. The selling point for me was that the monthly fee and deductible was cheaper. Glad that this is offered thru Apple. It sure blows Verizion's insurance out of the water!

Haven't Had to Use It Yet (Luckily) Posted by: from: on Of course you've gotta have the AppleCare as you're surely going to be in some sort of anxiety inducing moment as the the world around you enters slow motion; you'll be watching in fear and worry as the iPhone glides through the air as it gets knocked to the floor, twisting and moving gruesomely as you prey that it won't shatter as it collides with the the concrete, uncaring for your feelings, ready to shatter as glass screens will... Well if it does break, luckily it's only $30 to replace the screen under the plan now.

Fair price for the coverage Posted by: from: raleigh, nc on Coverage is basically the same as what your cellular company's third party carrier offers, however it's about a dollar cheaper than my company, and I like having the separate bill and contract info for it. Best buys is easier understand the terms and use if /when needed. usually the details and terms of coverage Get Lost in Translation in your carrier bill and additional 3rd party paperwork they send you.

Great product . Poor customer service at Best Buy Posted by: from: on I like the product . How ever the Bestbuy sales person fell short on helping me transfer my data from my old phone to my new phone . It took several trips to get the two phones I purchased set up correctly . I have purchased several phones in the past from Best Buy but will go to Apple care or AT&T in the future .

Insurance Posted by: from: on Already used once after having the phone for only one week. You pay monthly and you still have to pay a deductible. It's obviously a lot cheaper then not having it. I recommend you go through geek squad even though you could go directly to Apple because it's a lot faster.

Need to improve insurance Posted by: from: on Was disappointed to find out the apple care plan did not cover lost or stolen phones like my insurance that I had bought at Best Buy previously on my old phone I looked around and I saw AT&T had full coverage at the same price as AppleCare and they replace lost and stolen so I canceled my AppleCare and bought AT&T insurance

Easy switch from Android to Apple Posted by: from: on My biggest concern about buying a new phone is the transfer of info from old device. I was happy to discover that Apple includes an easy to follow guide and there is an app for moving info from my old android to my new iPhone. Furthermore, the step-by-step set up of my new apple device was very helpful.

Okay Plan Posted by: from: on This was added to my plan for my two younger children since it's likely they will be careless. So far we haven't needed it although I'm not excited about the high out of pocket cost on top of the monthly fee. Have yet to need to use it although it's a nice option to maintain the device warranty with apple.

Questionable Product Posted by: from: on I don't know if it's worth having this, I will keep it for a few more months and if I decide it's not worth the monthly charge, I will drop it. My feeling is I purchased this phone because I trust it was a good buy and I really don't feel I need to buy insurance to cover something that shouldn't happen.
