Awesome album, maybe Zombie's best Posted by: from: Auburn, MI on I'm surprised there isn't a review up for this album yet. Astro Creep 2000 is one of my favorite CDs, and in my opinion, one of the best hard rock/metal albums of the 1990s. Every aspect of this record, from the audio production to the artwork in the booklet, screams of the style that Rob Zombie continues to put forth in his solo records and even in his movies. I'm a fan of his and I immediately dug White Zombie the first time I heard them. I'm pretty sure I first saw the video for "More Human Than Human" (track 8 on this CD) on MTV back in '95 or '96 and thought, "this is a little strange, but pretty cool." From there I became a fan. This is one of those beginning-to-end albums where you just shouldn't skip any song. This album flows. It opens with a sample of a train riding on tracks repeating over and over. This leads into Electric Head (Pt. 1), which is a great heavy opener. The next track is the classic "Super Charger Heaven," a great thrashy number that still gets some radio play. From there every song grooves. The closer "Blood Milk and Sky" is a slow, haunting song but it loses absolutely no heaviness. Simply put, get this album. If you like Rob Zombie and haven't checked out White Zombie, you owe it to yourself to check out this CD and 1992's La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1 which includes "Thunder Kiss '65."
