So far so good..a bit confused by all the hate lol Posted by: from: Florida on for this phone. Sound quality (again so far is totally fne and very clear which to me for a 15 dollar phone is key!)IThe caller ID is clear and simple. No flashy bells and whistles which many people seem to have expected) I kind of understand the issues some "may" have with where the flash buttom is located, but its really not that bad. Its all in the way you hold the phone- not that difficult lol. When I hold a phone I keep my fingers on the sides on the phone, not rubbing it up and down or all around (which you would need to do for the flash button to be that much of an annoyance) It could have been located in a better place (like maybe on the base but its really NOT that bad). Its made a little cheap (like most phones are today cordless or not) but all in all its fine for me. I use it for work I do from home and will not be hanging it on a wall or what not. To keep it on my lap or desk etc..its working. *This site is actually the one where this phone is rated the lowest* If you go to Amazon, Staples etc..its rated very respectable . not great but more than 70-80% of the people think its sounds great (which i think is key)

Great for backup if you lose electric Posted by: from: st. louis, mo on Everyone should check online for what they are interested in before going to the store, It's $12.99 online. In the store, the price said $16.99. Bring any price differences in price to the attention of an employee in that area. They will check and give you the lower price. Phone was a snap to put together. I got it in case I lose electric. Also got it because the cordless phone I have starts to beep only after talking for 15 minutes, letting me know it soon will stop. This, despite the fact it's in the recharge state when not in use. which is most of the time. You have to have caller ID from your phone service provider for it to display incoming call numbers. I don't need that service, so it doesn't bother me.

The Phone works good Caller ID, in use function Posted by: from: IL on I bought 2 phones to replace old ones that were causing problems. The phone cord was too short so my wife bought a replacement for the kitchen. Overall it works well and lets you know when the line is in use in other parts of the house with a flashing light.

amazing Posted by: from: on Love that someone still has a old school reliable phone. Cordless phones are not private and anyone can listen in if they are in range on baby monitors

Good quality for value Posted by: from: Sanibel, FL on Bought this to replace a. Wall phone that was hissing wand buzzing. Sound quality is good. Especially like the variable volume so my spouse and inare now comfortable with the volume. A little confusing to set up, but easy to use after. Like the caller I'd feature. No trouble with the flash button -- others must hold the phone differently than I do. Have not had it long enough to rate durability.

Average phone. Posted by: from: New England on I have this phone set up as a landline, sharing the line with a DSL internet connection. I agree with previous reviewers that the phone has a definite hiss to it, but we found that swapping out the flat cable that comes with it (the one that plugs into the wall jack) mostly fixed the issue. We also double-filtered the line and now the hiss is barely noticeable. Also, addressing previous reviews that mention the difficulty in wall-mounting - PLEASE read the instruction manual. There is a small piece that has to be flipped around to keep the receiver in place, and the reviewers who complained likely didn't do that.

Very poor design Posted by: from: Patchogue, New York on I wanted a white, inexpensive phone to use in my bedroom. This looked like a good one. It had caller ID and it was made by a name brand. The problem is that every time I use the phone I end up hanging up on the person I am speaking to because the button to disconnect is on the outside of the handle. I try not to move my hand while I am talking but it gets uncomfortable. You also can't see if you get another call while on the phone because all the information is on the handle. I am going to return the phone and get another one. I think it is very poorly designed.

great value, good features Posted by: from: New York, NY on Excellent secondary phone, with 1-touch dailing for emergencies, Caller ID, and no need for electricity in case of blackout. Easy to program and operate. At $14.99, one of the great bargains in electronics. Only drawback is weak visual display due to battery power. But at this price, it's hard to kick.

Poor quality Posted by: from: on I wanted a land-line for power outages. This phone squealed when I picked up the receiver, and was so light-weight the base fell off the table when picking up the receiver. I returned to the store.
