Good adaptation of the Ayn Rand novel Posted by: from: on The third part to the movie adaptation of the Ayn Rand novel. All three movies were pretty solid story telling. The main distraction for me was how the actors for certain characters changed through the three movies. I guess they should have taken the Peter Jackson approach and filmed all three movies back to back. Not a major negative for me though.

The missing link falls a bit short Posted by: from: on It would have been far better, had the trilogy been able to maintain the same cast of characters. Still - a nice effort all in all, which sticks pretty much to the books. Audio and video on the Blu-ray are fare, with little by way of over-processing noticeable.

A real Let Down. Very disappointing follow up. Posted by: from: on This movie just felt rushed. While I enjoyed the first movie and somewhat enjoyed the second movie, I did not really enjoy the third movie in the series. The movie felt like it was rushed in production and I found myself not really caring about the characters like I did in the first movie. What really hurt this series was the change in the main cast from one movie to the next. The changing production values also hurt this movie along with the heavy handed approach to the source material. If anything good could be said about this movie was that it ended the trilogy of movies, just not very well.

Movie with a message Posted by: from: on In the wake of movies showing their heroes going against large oppressive gov'ts and entities (Divergent / Hunger Games, etc), this story was well ahead of it's time (by nearly 70 yrs), but it still is relative today. The trilogy as a whole is good. My only real criticism is that this has to be the only trilogy in the history of cinema that replaces every key actor from movie to movie to movie. Still worth a watch.

The End Of The Trilogy Posted by: from: Western Michigan on Based on the Ayn Rand novel, Atlas Shrugged takes a look at what America might look like if the government had become an overwhelming monstrosity. For the most part the series was decent enough if of course it was something that you were interested in. I think the main thing that hurt the series was that different actors were cast in basically all the roles for each movie so at least for me it made it a little harder to relate to who was who since it wasn't a familiar face.

Disappointing finish Posted by: from: on I was really looking forward to this movie, the third in the series. The first movie was very good, the second not quite as good, but still acceptable. This movie had the look and feel of a production that was out of money. The last half hour was truly dreadful, and it was a very disappointing finish to the series. The message of the movies trilogy is terrific, and something that I think everybody that cherishes freedom of choice should hear, but I don't this movie will help to change very many minds.

Disjointed Conclusion of Trilogy Posted by: from: Tyler, Texas on Part III satisfactorily brings the Atlas Shrugged trilogy to a conclusion, but the transitions between scenes are disjointed and sometimes unrelated. This made the whole movie come across as an underfunded project that had as its main goal to bring Ayn Rand's story to an understandable conclusion. Parts I and II were much more engaging movies and the only reason to watch Part III is to see how the story ends. Otherwise, don't expect much else.

Amazing Posted by: from: on I bought this after also buying the first two. Atlas Shrugged: Who is John Galt? is the last of the epic trilogy. I had to go back and watch the first two after watching this one. Ayn Rand is amazing - she must have had a crystal ball since it seems America is creeping into the same elements that Ayn saw many years ago. Although the book is better, the action packed movies are great and well worth buying - must buy all three!

Present Day of original Book Posted by: from: on This is last in the series and re-make of original Ann Rand book. The movie series is a little disjointed due to actor changes for various characters and there are jumps in plot sequence that don't make sense. In general watch it for content/meaning. It is scary to realize this book was written in 1950's and the accuracy of portrayal of present day events!! We should all pay attention to this!!!!
