Exemplary for price Posted by: from: USA on I purchased this turntable 4 weeks ago, I must say that I am impressed by the sound quality and build of this turntable. I am not a DJ, but I am a audiophile, that said I do own a VPI DIrect that cost me $ 20,000.00. retail is 30,000.00. Yes the VPI is a piece of art, but as sound it is somewhat better, but it is also $19,600.00 more. The 1240, is an amazing turntable for the price, I use it with a AT 440MLb and also a AT95e, the second for the m0ney is one of the best Cartdridges to purchase, you can buy it for about $40.00, and retail is $78.00, the 440 is amazing, I purchased it for $139.00, when retail is $363.00. I do not need to use the ground cable as well. ( NO noses at all coming form the actual power or turntbale motor. , I use audio qwest Evergreen cables, they are amazing and I use a Panamax 5100M, that will take care of any power, and noise issues coming from the ground. Enjoy tis turntbale even if you are not a DJ. Yes a nice glass of wine, and your turntable,

One Fine Turntable Posted by: from: Allen, TX on This unit is the closest I have found to the Technics 1200 we all wanted years ago. When you pick up the box, you know there is a quality unit inside as it weighs a ton.
