Not the best but not the worsst of movie musicals! Posted by: from: Beachwood, Ohio on Lucille Ball was no Angela Lansbury in playing Mame. Her singing left much to be desired. The film was greatly helped by the talents of Robert Preston and Bea Arthur. If you loved the movie Auntie Mame and did get to see Angela Lansbury in the Broadway musical you will still enjoy the songs and the story!
