In Valen’s name Posted by: from: on Babylon 5 season 3 is the high point of the series. It has about the Rangers, the Shadow Wars, and will answer who is Valen. Very good scripts that tie the five seasons together, also answer some questions about earlier episodes from season 1 and some of the future is revealed for the next two seasons. So if you want to enjoy this series, I recommended that you purchase all five seasons along with the Babylon 5 Movie collection, Legend of the Rangers, Crusades, and The Lost Tales. Nice animated menus for the series and the 5 Movie Collection to get you in the mood for hours of Sci-fi enjoyment. Hopefully this series will get a blu-ray upgrade; it will be well worth it.

Favorite season of a good series Posted by: from: on Babylon 5 was a groundbreaking series in its time. Its continuing story arcs and its innovative use of CG raised the bar for the space sci-fi genre, and forced the other, more established franchise in this genre to step up its game. Season 3 was my favorite. It had many big, exciting episodes, while maintaining a good overall story pace for the season.

Replacing my vcrs Posted by: from: on Good sound quality. The disks played in good order but some of the first intro minutes were grainy.

Season 3 Posted by: from: on Having watched the first 3 seasons as they aired on TV I couldn't wait to see them again on DVD. I bought this first season set so I could re-enjoy them. They did not dissappoint. Excellent quality on these, nice animated menu system and good quality packaging made this a worthwhile investment. There could have been more to the bonus footage, it was really lame in all honesty, had the bonus stuff been better I would have given it a 5 star + rating.

The Climax Posted by: from: on As I understand it, Straczynski planned the series as sort of a five part act from beginning to end before they started filming. The third season is sort of the climax of the series, with the war the everything. Elements that were started in the first season are woven together seemlessly. Again, I really killer series that most everyone would enjoy.

A poor episode of B5 still beats any Trek Posted by: from: Battle Creek, Michigan on I love the 5 year arc. It's the first and maybe the only series with a definite beginning, middle, and end. Season 3 is the high point of one storyline and the beginning of the 2nd major portion.
