Almost Perfect Posted by: from: on As a fan of the original graphic novel, and proud owner, I had extrememly high expectations and it almost was perfect. Mark Hamil in his final performance of The Joker was spectacular and the animation and style were great. What I took issues with, was the added sub-story, about the relationship between Batgirl and Batman. I'm not sure why that was added, since it was not part of the original story, nor was integral to move the story along. I didn't mind the added background story, but adding this piece to the story I found out of place and unnecessary. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to anyone, just overlook the extra sub-plot/story.

After School to After Dark Posted by: from: on I used to watch the G-rated Batman animated series after school many years ago. Not having read the original comic book for this story, I figured that this movie would feel like watching the others DC movies utilizing the animated series voice cast. The previous PG/PG-13 rated movies ratcheted up the violence to earn their increased ratings and this movie sure deserved its R rating. But I feel like it was forced, especially in the first half without the Joker. It was not my favorite in the series, but you really cannot compare it as it is on an entirely another level of maturity.

A nice change of pace Posted by: from: on Enjoyed this nice change-of-pace, a decidedly more adult version of the "dark knight." Having said that, it wasn't really as shocking as I expected. And for parents worried about the "R" rating, I actually think a PG-13 would have sufficed. But this isn't kid-friendly Batman, for sure. It's certainly a treat to have Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill back in their familiar roles.

Interesting storyline Posted by: from: LaGrangeville, NY on This is an interesting storyline that sheds a new light on the Batman/Joker saga and provides some fresh insight into Batman's relationship with Batgirl. Overall, an entertaining movie.

It's a little confusing Posted by: from: on A very dark graphic version of the Batman saga. The way it's portrayed it should have been the Bat Girl Story.

Tremendous animated film for a classic story Posted by: from: on Enjoyed the graphic novel of The Killing Joke. This was a well adapted version of it with more storyline added on. Mark Hamill back as the voice of the Joker!

Great for those who have heard of or never read th Posted by: from: on A little less graphic than the graphic novel. Mark Hamill great as voice of Joker again. Story is one of the most important in the Batman mythos. Also shows the rebirth of Barbara Gordon.
