Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) clash over differing philosophies about what kind of heroism is needed to protect the world, while the public they're defending is becoming increasingly mindful of the damage that superheroes and masked vigilantes cause. However, the duo are soon forced to confront an even greater threat created by nefarious billionaire Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also co-stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred the butler, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. ~ Jack Rodgers, Rovi
Rated R Edition

Just wondering if this is the unrated/rated R edition that i'm buying here. The descriptions are confusing. Some say PG-13 and others say Rated R. I NEED TO KNOW!

This movie has gotten a bad rap for being called confusing, incoherent, and too dark. When in fact its the best look inside a superhero's mentality shows you their journey from reluctance to accepting what needs to be done for the good of the world. As well as the consequences of taking on such responsibilities.. Excellent movie! Five stars.

An Intelligent Take on the Superhero Genre...
Posted by: BobbyB from: on
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a film that takes its subject matter very seriously. This is apparent from the opening sequence where it addresses the effect that godlike beings waging war would have on the real world and how those beings might be viewed by others. It does raise many questions that viewers are left to ponder for themselves. On one hand this can be good and lead to some thought provoking conversations but on the other it does require people to think for themselves. Which I think is the biggest mistake this film made. It assumes that modern audiences actually want to pay attention to what’s happening on screen. This movie is bolstered by strong performances and amazing visual imagery and offers a fresh take on iconic characters that may deviate strongly from recognized canon. If you prefer an intelligent, realistic approach to superheroes over eye pokes and head slaps than this movie is definitely for you.

I saw the movie five times, is not the perfect movie, but the visuals, fights, cgi, and the soundtrack are amazing. I know that a lot of people hated it, but I was waiting my whole life to see batman and superman on big screen and finally I was able to see them together and I keep very positive for this universe that dc and warner bros are building up.

Maybe this film did not live up to the expectations of a lot of people but I enjoyed it.
Does it have flaws? Yes but to me I overlooked them & simply enjoyed it. Really looking forward to what comes out of this film.

I do not know why this got bad reviews and why it has 4 stars on here. This movie rocked! Sure, it had it's slow moments but they had to get the story set up. This is leading up to the Justice League, hence "The Dawn of Justice." Affleck was fantastic. Caville was his normal Superman self. If you haven't seen it, I'll let you be surprised for the rest :o)

I loved the movie! I grew up on DC Comics, and the only people that complained about the movie were the people that didn't ever pick up a DC comic in their life, and had no Idea what was going on!
This was not a Marvel movie where anyone could just walk off the street and see a kid friendly super hero flick, where every one goes home with a warm feeling inside.
It was a "REAL" comic book movie.

Great Comic Book Movie

Is this movie perfect? No. But it is very entertaining and does a great service to those who have read the comics. The story may seem muddled to some, but overall it was very enjoyable to watch.

Rotten Tomato geeks got it wrong this time...

Kinda slow and dual the first hour for the setup, but required for the awesome action 2nd hour. I know its not part of the original comic story, but it has good backstory justification making it a great movie. Pay no attention to those Aflack haters, he did a great job and performance. (i wouda gave it 4.5 because of a corny coincidence put in the story)

The Ultimate Edition Is The Definitive Version!
Posted by: Starkeym1 from: on
#BatmanVSupermanUltimateEdition was much better than the theatrical release. It filled in so much plot info like how Lex was pulling the strings the whole time and much more of Clark being a reporter, etc. Definitely the definitive version, it's a completely different movie and I highly recommend!
