Falls short of other DC animated efforts Posted by: from: on This one felt rushed. I'm normally a fan of the DC animated features, but this one was filled with cliched dialogue and situations and the voice acting was not up to par. The Best Buy exclusive is nice (if overpriced) in that it has a bonus of the superior Under the Red Hood film on Vudu, and the figurine is cool but I'm disappointed they changed the style from previous releases. Essentially, it's an entertaining diversion, but far from equaling the DCAU's best.

Father Vs. Son Posted by: from: on As always , the type of animated movie we've come to expect from DC.Excellent animation and despite the PG-13 rating, a story line age appropriate children and adults can enjoy. The BEST BUY exclusives for this set were great as well. I already own UNDER THE RED HOOD; but the digital comic was fun to "read" (watch, really;I still love paper & ink comics) And the Batman figurine in this set was from a different company & definitely of a higher caliber quality.

great flick, OK figure Posted by: from: on The movie rocks but let's face it, you clicked this tab because you want the figure. For starters, this is the start on a new collection. It's bigger than the others and does not move at all. I'm little let down. If like me you collect these figures your collection now has 3 batmans and no Robin or Nightwing. Sad that the old collection will feel incomplete as several characters were skipped while others were repeated. So the new collection; if we are starting over then cool that it's Batman but promise us some sidekicks down the road. Also, if it's going to be a static pose, give the pose some drama. If you are up for starting a new collection or just don't care, then carry on and hit order, it's still a cool collectable for batman fans. If not click the blue ray DVD pack. It's the same copy you'll get here but no figure and you'll save a few bucks.

best buy figure Posted by: from: milpitas, ca on alright let me start off by saying this review is not for the movie but more for the figure that comes with the movie, the movie itself is pretty good, being a big fan of the Court of Owls arc, i really enjoyed seeing some scenes fully animated, the reason this is getting only 2 stars is because of the figure that comes with the movie, I have been collecting these best buy exclusive figures that come with the DC animated movies for awhile, and for some reason they decided to change the figure for this movie, which to some may be a small thing but for me i don't like how it throws off the rest of the collection, that is the only reason this gets 2 stars

An excellent addition to the batman story Posted by: from: pittsburgh, pa on DC and Warner Bros. continue the excellent series of Batman animated films with "Batman vs. Robin." This movie closely follows the comic book storyline and details Batman's attempts to tutor his wayward son in the ways of justice and fighting crime. It also introduces the Court of Owls to the cinematic universe with the welcome addition of the Talons, the Court's enforcement team. And a very scary, formidable bunch they are. Well produced and paced this film is time well spent for the comic or the animation fan.

Pretty good flick Posted by: from: Chicago on I was set to give this flick a 2 star review, but the last half-hour of the film pushed it up to a solid 3 star. The film is loosely based on The Batman - Court of the Owls (New 52) comic. While some of the liberties the writer used for the film fell short, I have to say I liked the ending of the film over the comic version. The film is slow with set up, but really picks up towards the end. For an animated film there is some graphic violence, be warned. One of the better DC animated films...

Good movie but for kids? Posted by: from: on If you liked Son of the Batman, then this is your next step in cartoons. This picks up after that movie to show the troubles of Batman in working with his assassin trained son, Damian. I thought it was a really good movie but of all the animations DC has done I questioned this one more on whether I would let me nieces and nephews watch it. Not only is it more violent, more cursing, but deals with a child and his urges to kill. Besides that I liked how it tied in with the court of owls.

Fairly good adaptation of "Court of Owls" story Posted by: from: on When I first heard this was coming out, I was excited, as "The Court of Owls" storyline was one of my favorite Batman stories in recent years. There are some very stark differences between the two tellings of the story, but if the animated version is just taken as it is, it is entertaining. My biggest gripe is that the figure included with the Best Buy exclusive was kinds lame; should've been Robin or one of the Talons.
