Cheap, easy to use and does the trick.5 Posted by: from: on I needed a simple preamp between my turntable and the sound bar under the TV so I could play old vinyl. This one was inexpensive and although not stocked in stores it came in a few days. It works great.

Very good5 Posted by: from: Portland, Or on For the price, this thing is perfect. Simple useful and small. The only major flaw is it has no on/off switch, so I am constantly having to plug it in or unplug it. Still great for the money.

Perfect product for the need5 Posted by: from: Oshkosh, WI on I listen to talk radio frequently and listen on the net. With great access on the web, I listen to stations via smart phone. Problem was when I played through my receiver/home theater. Had to turn volume very high to amplify signal from phone. Changing to another source without turning volume down produced excessive blast in speakers. Using the phono pre-amp allows matching signal to produce sound at levels of other sources. Works great at low price and does not eat up a lot of space.

great for the price5 Posted by: from: bellaire on I had purchased a more expensive TCC preamp to play my old vinyl. It worked for awhile (just over 6 months) and then the left channel went out. I tried to return it (I would have been happy to exchange) but they said no. I could have maybe bartered with them but decided not to waste any more of my time. I bought the Behringer and it was delivered to my door quickly. It hooked up with zero hassles. It seems just as well made and to be a solid unit. It sounds just as good. I'm not an audiophile but I like good, clean sound and that's what I got. This is a bargain at this price. I have only had it a month, but so far it's functioned fine for half the price.

Was a cheap fix to hook up phono to amp.5 Posted by: from: las vegas, NV on I bought a great Elite receiver, but it didn't have the ability to have a direct hookup for my phonograph. This pre-amp allowed me to hook into an audio connection and everything works well.

Okay for the money3 Posted by: from: San Diego, CA on I needed an inexpensive good sounding preamp to connect my Technics SL-1200 MK2 to my new Sony STR-DH520 Receiver. After reading several reviews on this preamp, it sounded like the best bang for my buck. I just finished hooking it up and have listened to a few different Lp's to get a good gauge on the sound quality of this preamp. I must say that it does not live up to it's reviews. I ran this preamp straight to my receiver first, resulting in very minimal almost nonexistent white noise. But, the EQ was horrible. Very muffled and yet tinny at the same time. So, I then routed it through my Technics SH-8038 graphic EQ. Not only did this produce a significant increase in white noise, it also made the sound more tinny. I wasn't expecting audiophile quality from a $20 preamp, but the sound quality should be much better in my opinion.
