I've had this unit for less than 24 hours so my thoughts may change within my first 14 days, but so far...
Set up was relatively simple. If you know how to connect to wifi through a smart phone, you can do this.
Range is relatively decent, I bought a range extender just in case but so far it seems to have a pretty good antenna without the need of the extender.
Picture quality is decent. There are 3 settings, we'll call them meh better and best.
Meh is the lowest of the settings and it is pretty much impossible to make out a face clearly beyond 4 ft away, but movement is somewhat smooth.
Better seems to have a decent picture quality, you can probably make out a face clearly from about 8 ft away, video smoothness becomes choppy.
Best give you about 12 ft of range to make out a face clearly, but the video becomes EXTREMELY choppy... to the point of making it pointless to use.
I chose to use the middle setting.
Audio- This unit allows you to hear and talk back to the camera. Audio is decent, talking back is delayed about 5 seconds. It has worked 5 times out of about 15 attempts. Definitely needs improvement here.
Nightvision- works great. Probably the most solid part of this camera. I can see clearly (not to facial recognition quality) out to 60+ ft.
Motion detection - so far, my biggest complaint about this unit. I have sampled each setting of sensitivity, both with and without the microphone sensor engaged. Even with mic off and sensitivity set to the lowest setting... I have been getting constant false alerts. When I say constant, I'm talking every few minutes at times.
Fort my trial testing, the camera was sitting on a solid shelf in my garage. It was silent through the night, but the sunrise simply coming through my garage door window was enough to trigger the alerts all morning. After sunrise, apparently the morning traffic is enough to trigger the motion sensor. FYI, my driveway is about 30 ft long and my camera cannot view the road or the traffic. My garage door has remained shut during this entire test.
Live viewing from a phone works well, and the ability to record to the phone is a great feature.
Overall, I'm ready to return this model to try something else. Do yourself a favor and don't bother starting with this one. 7/9/14

I love this camera it does exactly what I need when away from home the motion sensor kicks on the recording device along with sound. It streams straight to my ipod, android, and other devices if I can't get to my phone its always there on my email for review later

We bought this for our toddlers room as something to just be able to easily keep an eye on him with, it worked great until we started noticing static noises, we thought it was nothing until our son started waking up screaming and scared every single morning at 4:30, then one morning he came in so terrified it took forever to calm him down and there was someone talking over his camera! His camera was hacked and someone was waking him up by yelling at him! He was so scared that we had to let him throw the camera away so he knew it was gone, and switch his bedroom to the spare room because he wouldn't go in his own bedroom! He kept saying 'scare me in my PJs'. Imagine the horror and shock my husband and I were and still are in!

I am by no means a beginner, but this camera was terrible. Installed and did the network set up. It refused to take firmware updates. Worked fine on local network, but when trying to access it from away, it wouldn't work at all. Motion sensor is too sensitive, I literally got emails every two minutes the one day I had it installed because the glare from a window was moving slightly. DO NOT BUY. get a dropcam instead.

I purchased on of these to help me keep an eye on a vacation home in another city. I was attracted to this brand and model because of the ability to get email alerts. It took a couple of tries to get it to connect to the Wi Fi at the vacation home, but once connected it has worked perfectly. The pictures and video it sends to my iPhone are great. My only criticism is that it is too sensitive and I occasionally get alerts that the camera detected motion when there was no one there.
Things to know: 1) If the camera detects motion you will get an email with two very clear pictures of whatever is in the camera's field of view. 2# You don't need the paid service to get the email alerts. Unless you want to store streaming video, I can't imagine why you would pay for the service. 3) If you want to disconnect the camera temporarily #such as while I am in the home) just unplug it. When you plug it back in it will automatically reconnect. 4) You are not going to get smooth motion video streamed to your iPhone. What you get is very good, but this is a consumer grade product streaming over the wifi in my second home. There are limitations in bandwidth that should be obvious.
In summary, this is a great product that performs as described for a bargain price. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 starts is the occasional false alert.

I have to unplug/turn off.... then back on, then vid... then FOR A HALF SECOND my Android (HTC ONE) says connect, then dumps it. I JUST bought this thing so I can keep an eye on my 89 y/o Grandmother while I am at work.... Gonna have to return it. Very irritated! I have to drive 30 miles to return it.

First call, disconnected. Second call, they promised to call back if disconnected. Third call, the tech claimed product too new and this was first such problem reported. I solved problem on my own but first camera quit working on first day of trip. Second sent tons of email then quit too. We are unhappy.

Can not be trusted to be working 24/7

Had many issues getting it to be consistent and reliable when connecting. Picture would freeze at times, audio would sometimes work and sometimes not. Overall I would not suggest getting this camera if you need to count on it working. The website and application they provide works fine but the camera does not work 100% of the time. My provider for internet is FIOS with no other issues with the service so I am not going to blame them.
Pros - Easy to setup and picture quality is good outside of freezing and audio issues.

It might be an ok camera but the software kills it. Friend had a drop can and he could
zoom in and still have clarity. It was easy to connect.
