Good, sturdy stand
Posted by: degg from: Denver, CO on
I bought this stand a few weeks before I had even decided on a TV. As it turns out I bought a 60" Sharp and while the stand states up to 55", my 60" fits just fine and is about half the rated weight capacity of the stand. There is still plenty of room between the top shelf and bottom of my TV (6¼") to fit a sound bar or many other components. I did secure the unit to the wall just in case, but I don't see there being any problem with my slightly oversize TV with this stand.
Assembly was fairly straightforward and I was able to assemble this stand in about an hour with no assistance. Only issue I ran across was the installation of the glass shelves. Instructions make it clear not to move the stand with the TV or the shelves in place. However, the shelves install from the side and unless you have ~4 feet of open space to the side (which I don't) you must install the glass and then move the unit into it's final position. If the unit is on a hardwood floor it probably wouldn't be too tough, but on carpet it took a bit of care and effort to move the unit fully assembled.

Nice Looking Stand For Our Bedroom
Posted by: 85MustangJeff from: Acushnet, MA on
We purchased this for our 50" Panasonic Plasma T.V. It is set at it's highest point (TV mount) so that we could see it while lying in our bed. It holds the weight of my TV with no problem, although I cannot see more than a 50" on this stand. Please refer to my two pictures I have included.
It took my wife and I about 45 minutes to put together. Instructions are plain and simple. It does a pretty good job at concealing all my cables. I have two HDMI cables, two power cables and a network cable. It has room for more if I need it.
Once you have the TV on the stand in the way I chose to mount it, be aware that moving the stand into place becomes difficult. In my scenario I had to push it back against the wall, so it took some time to get it there carefully. You have to take care when moving it as the weight of the TV wants to tip the stand. Once in place the stand is very sturdy.
I would recommend this to anyone. I don't think I would use it in a living room with children (we have two 3 and 13 months) without securing it to a wall for added safety. Overall we are very happy with it..

SturdyTV stand that holds all my componants
Posted by: chalspa from: maryland on
I searched for weeks for the perfect TV stand, I needed space for several audio items, plus I wanted the top shelf for a large center speaker and knick-knacks, so I needed a stand with an attached mount to hang the TV - I don't like hanging TV's on the wall, the wires are unsightly and most people mount them too high - this stand keeps the TV at perfect eye level when sitting on a sofa. I purchased this from Best Buy so I was able to inspect the box - no problems. When I opened it I found everything as it should and it everything was packaged well. This stand can easily be put together by one person, however two people will need to carry it. The instructions were very understandable and the stand base, with attached real wood, is already put together, you just open it and lock it together with the locking clamps. Then you simply add the shelf holders, secure the rear TV mount and place the glass shelves - one person can do it but two people should be used so as to not damage the glass. It comes with a large selection of VESA screws and spacers to attach the rear mounts to your TV. - they had longer screws that fit my Vizio. I had a receiver and other audio components and wanted an open configuration so I wouldn't have to cut out the back to fit all the wires and cables, plus it gives them air circulation. The stand is very sturdy and is a perfect width at 50" wide, my 60" LED just extends about an inch and a half on either side. On the shelves, just place the audio components to each side and you'll have room in the center of the first and second shelf for two rows of CD's. The bottom shelf holds 75 lbs, the middle shelf holds 50 lbs and the top shelf holds 125lbs. There is about 10" height between the bottom and middle shelves. I also placed sliders under the 3 main points to move the stand easily. See my attached photo's

Would Recommend but...

+1 for the adjustable height without having to mount on the wall. But -1 for how difficult it is to hide wires behind it. I really thought it would be a good idea considering how minimal my wiring is but its just very hard to hide them all behind there. Some may say that my review is unfair because i should know what i was getting into before buying this but I think 4 stars is quite fair in this respect. I should have gone with a cabinet but alas BB only allows 15 day returns and I Don't think many people would be willing to unassemble and return.
Aside from that, fit and finish is very good. Much easier to install the middle glass shelf with another person. Otherwise completely doable in 30 minutes alone.

I love, love, Looove this!
Posted by: masterskulls from: Coral Springs, Florida on
So again I love this stand. I went crazy on black friday last year and bought so many things but this has to be one of my top favorite still (Tv itself being #1) but It is just perfect as I have a lot of room to put stuff on this (I have a surround sound, PS4, Xbox 360, cable box, and all my games and movies stacked at the bottom. I wish I could attach a pic of this just to show you how organize it made my room. I was worried about setting up myself as I wanted to make sure everything was done correctly since i would hang my TV on it and didnt want it to mess up and drop a 1500 dollar tv but man it was too easy. I kept checking to make sure I wasnt missing a screw or something cause it took me maybe an hour to put together and hang my tv on it and did it all myself and messing up a few times (trying to put the screw in the wrong hole and whatnot).
Highly recommend if you have a TV 55 inches or less as mine is a 55 inches and fits just perfect with no more room for anything bigger.

Very easy setup and looks great
Posted by: GamingGuy from: Burnsville, MN on
I bought this product online without seeing it in person. I was very pleased when I finally got it out of the box. The quality of the pieces was great and they looked great too. Setup was a breeze. I used the attached TV mount option. If you are mounting your TV to a wall it will take you quite a bit longer. There were only a handful of screws that need to be tightened. The swivel bar moves with hardly any effort so adjusting the TV angle is very easy. There is also plenty of shelf space for devices. I got my Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, and PS4 hooked up and still have room for a surround sound system if needed. The only thing is the cable hiding system in the back is a bit limited in space. This isn't much of a complaint though since I was still able to get all of the cables inside with minimal effort. I would highly recommend this stand.

Great looking stand
Posted by: Manny231 from: San Antonio on
I purchased this amazing looking stand two weeks ago and I am beyond thrilled with it. I don't see the justification of why the previous review had low marks. For the features and style the price point is spot on and worth every penny. The setup was beyond simple, had it up and going in under an hour. The cable management system is a great perk, wife was pleased with hidden cables. The design, tinted glass and wood color is georgoeus. Everyone who comes over gives this stand compliments. I have my TV mounted on the included bracket and it gives my whole setup an added cool factor. Stand is extremely durable and quality grade. Absolutely pleased with purchase.

Sturdy and well made
Posted by: JerryB4186 from: on
We needed a new stand when we upgraded to a larger TV. This one is exactly what we wanted; shelves for her collectibles, and I like the swivel mount. It is very easy to position the TV for different viewing angles. Directions were very easy to follow and clear; setup took less than 30 minutes.

Maybe I was just unlucky...
Posted by: MaineC from: Orange County on
I loved the style, and though it required some effort on my part to acquire - driving to another store to pick one up, as the system would not allow shipping it when I placed the order in-store with a new TV - I initially thought it was worth the effort.
Unfortunately, as soon as I removed the first major piece from the box and began to set it up, it broke. As I unfolded the primary frame, a critical weld on one of the hinges attached to the back of the frame gave out. Upon closer inspection, the weld was very clearly poorly done. Thus, within 5 minutes of opening the box, I was sealing it up and lugging the 90 pound box back out to the car and off to the store to return it.

Owned for over year, good stand
Posted by: James from: on
I have used this for over a year and moved twice with it, so has held up very well. Some other reviewers have noted the TV can lean forward, but found this is fixed by tilting the tv back, then screwing in the mounts on the back snugly. This made my tv perfectly level.
