Mac Users need Geek Squad support for this monitor4 Posted by: from: on I bought this monitor through Amazon because I didn't want to wait the ~2 weeks for shipping through Best Buy. Bad decision. The monitor is not Mac-friendly. I followed the directions to connect and set up the first time, but the monitor said no signal. No customer support was available from Benq at that hour. I went to bed. Next morning, I found a button which cycled through the cable inputs. It finally found the HDMI cable. Success I thought! All's well. Beautiful monitor. HOWEVER, I later noticed that the screen would have an annoying green tint upon waking. I could never get rid of it reliably. It only did this on the Mac Mini, not my PowerBook or Dell Laptop. I tried and tried. Got Apple support to help me reset the PRAM. I finally bought the 27" Acer monitor from Best Buy - available in store, and returned the BenQ monitor. I prefer the BenQ stand to the Acer stand, but I have it on a swing arm mount anyway. The BenQ is a great monitor at a great price - usually available for around 170-180. But order from Best Buy and get the Geek Squad support for it and you should be fine. Comparisons: Both the BenQ and Acer 27" monitors have VESA mounts. The BenQ also has speakers, the Acer does not - probably assuming anyone buying a 27" monitor will be fussy about sound and want their own speakers anyway, or willing to use their computer's speakers. I'm not fussy that way, and both monitors are good. The Acer was significantly easier to set up though.

Needed a larger viewing area!4 Posted by: from: on The monitor is working out for my business needs. Easy to set-up and the viewing suits my needs. I use this monitor in my business and not for gaming. Worth the price...good deal for the size!

Great for gaming5 Posted by: from: on Decided to get a BenQ monitor after seeing it being used in COD tournaments.. And it is one of the best purchases I have made for gaming. No input lag, no ugly colors. Improved my COD'ing.

Great Monitor, Best Buy is playing with the prices4 Posted by: from: on I recently bought a second monitor for my husband because I really liked mine. The monitor is great and we love the blue light eye-care settings because we are on our computers all day. I also love the size. It's big enough to edit photos and great for splitting the screen when coding. However, what I really don't like is Best Buy's pricing. I saw the monitor on a HUGE sale here for $179 instead of $399 (talk about big savings!) but by the time I actually decided to go through with ordering it, the sale suddenly disappeared and the monitor was priced at $399!!! Luckily, I called Best Buy and did price matching (it was $179 on Amazon) and got it for the lower price (though the person on the phone kept saying "i have to get my manager, this is a huge price difference). But the next day I checked back and to my surprise the exact same monitor was on sale again - for $187 but with a regular price of $199. So what's the regular price of this monitor, $199 or $399??? that's a huge difference....

Great Choice for triple monitors5 Posted by: from: on When you take into consideration the price of monitors, you really can't beat a 27" for $179.99. I researched all over for monitors and decided that three 27" would be quite the wow factor...and WOW they are. It's super super immersive. These monitors turned out better than anticipated, mainly because so many people said 'VA monitors don't have the viewing angles of an IPS.' Are you kidding? Or is this just an exceptional monitor? Because if you take a look at the pictures I included, you should be able to see that even at extreme 178 degree angles there is no terrible picture change. I'm not a monitor critic or expert, but I must say these look really nice. I didn't adjust a single setting, these puppies were ready to go out of box. HDMI ports were an awesome addition. I'm impressed and so are my friends. One thing to note they do NOT come with DVI cables, only VGA.
