Better Off Dead is a Great Comedy Posted by: from: on It was great to be able to watch Better Off Dead again on blu-ray, although I noticed the picture quality was a bit lacking for blu-ray quality.

Saw this as a kid and still watch in today Posted by: from: on It is really funny and takes you into a competitive nature for skiing life. Some of it is over the top comedy but that is why it's so good

Corny but good Posted by: from: on Better off dead is one of my personal favorite comedies with not enough people who know or talk about this film. I have always thought john cusack has had some OK to bad films but so far I have enjoyed him in The Frozen Ground and this( I have not seen say anything yet). This movie was made for TV and has a lot of cheesy parts in the film but I smile every time I watch this its a funny underrated picture that deserves to be watched. I highly recommend this.

Classic Romantic Comedy with a side of Darkness Posted by: from: on Great to see this film released on Blu-ray. It was fun when it first came out and it still holds up today. Slightly dark and slightly goofy, but entirely fun.

Classic Posted by: from: Minnesota on Remembered watching this countless times when I was a teen. It's still funny today and brought back memories. The Blu-Ray transfer makes it look a lot better too.

Awesome quirky comedy Posted by: from: Michigan on I first saw this in theaters upon it's release. My wife watched this for the first time after I picked this up and loved it! Still holds up despite the 80s time frame.

One of the best "Forgotten" comedies of the 1980's Posted by: from: on "Better off Dead" is an over-the-top teen comedy in the vein of "Revenge of the Nerds" or "Weird Science". In my opinion, in terms of pure hilarity, it surpasses much of John Hughes work. The Blu-ray looks far superior to its DVD counterpart.

Classic 80's Comedy Posted by: from: Derry on It's 1985, and Savage Steve Holland takes a delightful look at teen dating, teen breakups and the effect both have on young adults. His study is a very young John Cusack and his obsessive crush on the ultimate blonde idiot, Beth, who only finds him attractive until she falls for the school ski director, and resident bully. Beth, who is played very well by Amanda Wyss, shallow as she is, decides to break up with John's character Lane, as calmly as she picks her hair spray. Thus begins Lane's decent into hilarious attempts at suicide and trying to win her back. Holland's directional and writing debut is a little rough, but very real and keeps you watching to the very end. The end, where Lane discovers that there is life after Beth.

Not my cup of tea Posted by: from: on Having loved teen movies from the 90's and 00's, I thought this would be good like Breakfast Club was, but I was wrong.
