Great buy for the price Posted by: from: Saint Paul, MN on When this sub is stacked up against the others in its price range it trumps them all. After hearing the Polk PSW10 and how weak the bass was on that at 50 watt RMS I opted to go for as much as possible for my budget. 160 RMS watts really gives this thing some punch, I would almost compare it to the Klipsch 350 sub (150 watts RMS) which has very similar specs at a much higher price. It also features an auto on/off feature that seams to only kick the sub on when it is receiving a fairly strong signal from medium to high volume. This sub has all the adjustments you would need including a variable crossover, phase adjustments, volume and even a digital/Pro Logic selector. I am running it with a Denon receiver and Polk TSi series speakers and they really all seam to mesh well together. As for the frequency range I have been impressed with how low this thing can get and it never sounds sloppy always very controlled. The only real draw back to this thing is that it looks fairly unattractive, but you don't buy a subwoofer for decoration I suppose.

Can't find better for the price Posted by: from: Dallas,TX on For under $200.00 you'll be hard pressed to find anything better. For subs in the $400 to $500 price range it is on par or even better than most of what I have heard in the store. I use my surround system mostly for movies and this sub provides great low end frequencies with ease.Explosions sound great and come with authority. This sub has plenty of punch. I have it in a room that's about 21x14 square feet. No port noise, no fluttering and no boomy box sound. It sounds great on my Yamaha 5.1 surround receiver. Just pure low end bass reproduction. I did my research and read tons of home theater forums and BIC America was always one of the subs under the $200 range that came up. A lot of audiophiles were always pleased with the results and highly recommended the brand. I couldn't be happier with the product. The sub enclosure might not be a decorative piece of furniture but it is made from real wood and has a nice finish to it. Nothing like the other subs I've seen in it's price range that use laminate to hide the cheap particle board. All in all if you decide to purchase this product it will leave you with a great mind of satisfaction. What I've read from the other reviews they are all spot on with their assessments of the BIC performance. Awesome sub!

Outstanding Posted by: from: Florida on The other review on theis model is dead on. I can't believe the value, $150 bucks for this quality sub is truly remarkable. I can only say how much I appreciate this product being available from Best Buy. Now I will look at some other BIC products that you have to fill out my system.

Five star... Excellent!! Posted by: from: queens ny on I own a Samsung blue ray home theater system, the sub it came with sounds good, but I needed more bass! My cousin owns a plok 100 watts powered sub and he was telling me the bass is just not what he wants it to be. I came on bestbuy and did a little research and saw this sub. the first thing that caught my eyes was the price. I then read some of the reviews and I was really starting to like what I was seeing. My intension was to get a polk or JBL, but I took a chance and bought the BIC America and boy am I happy I did. its a great sub, if your looking for great sound, clear deep sound, do not get the top brand sub. Do yourself a favor and buy this product.

Amazing, esp. for the $$ Posted by: from: Minneapolis, MN on Amazing sub for the money. Went down from a JBL 12" that was louder than this one but over twice the money. It got blown and I didn't feel like breaking the bank so I gave this one a shot based on the good reviews. Those reviews were right. It's a superb subwoofer at a great price. It adds just what you need #and if you don't have a sub you don't know what you're missing# and the price is right. I won't necessarily rock your entire house, but it does what it's supposed to do. Highly recommended.

Great product for price Posted by: from: Alanta, GA on I did scour the subwoofer market looking for a reasonably priced speaker to compliment the surround sound system in the family room. I was using an Infinity 12" subwoofer that had tremendous sound but after the unit "blew up" one day I wanted to replace it but did not want to break the bank. This 10" has a deep bass and completes the home theater experience. For the money I have not heard or seen a better option.

Awesome subwoofer and great sound. Posted by: from: WESLACO, Tx on I've had other subwoofers before but this one is by far the best. Love the quality of the sound and the BASS is awesome.

awesome bang for your buck Posted by: from: on Great subwoofer. Had to replace Martin Logan sub due to a short. This speaker really warmed up after a few weeks of use and had to turn down the gain it was producing so much punch. Good for music but excellent for movies. Have recommended already. Doubt you can can find better for the money.. Seriously if you're in the air or considering a more expensive sub save the money and pick one up.

In the top of the class for budget subs Posted by: from: Illinois on I had to downsize from an awesome 7.3 setup to a bedroom setup. Hence why I chose the V1020 and could not be happier. I am now about 20-25 hours in on "breaking in" time and it keeps getting better. For under the 150$ mark it has to be in the top 5 subs. You won't be disappointed and works perfect in my 12x14 bedroom in a 5.1 setting.

Goes great with my M-audio AV-40's Posted by: from: Memphis, TN on I bought this sub to go with small studio monitors, and it does a great job. (When the neighbors are gone) I can put it on 10 and it will rattle the cabinets in my kitchen (the sub is not in the kitchen). I listen primarily to "EDM" (as the kids are calling it these days), so I wanted a lot of bass, and this thing fit the bill well within my budget. This sub also can be tuned via the crossover and volume knobs to sound great no matter what music I feel like listening to. I'm pretty happy with this thing. My neighbor however, not so much.
