Still good but...... Posted by: from: Phi on I have to say I am a bit dissapointed with this sequel of the first Bioshock. This second trial is good, but not same quality as before. Levels are shorter and I have a sense of lack of quality overall, if that's the proper expresion. Killing your enemies take a lof of ammo, and that means you ran out quite often playing in difficult, which is not good. Game is set to be more focus on traps and an intelligent gaming to kill your enemies, but having no bullets to do so spoil the attempt. The game didnt change the playing mechanic, so you will find same stile than Bioshock 1. Game is quite precise and polished even when some bugs are present, but nothing serious as to be an annoying issue. Story is OK, but just so. As result, I am not so complain to finish as I was with other games, including of course the first Bioshock. My opinion: a good FPS but I wouldn't spend more than $30 for this one, even when I bought it at full price.

Great Game Posted by: from: Best Buy 228 Fort Wayne IN on This is a great sequel. Not as good as the first, but still very good. The graphics are amazing but I think that the game has strayed away from its underground beginings. I think that the expansion of characters may have been too much. Still one of the best games ever! Come on 2k games! Bring the games coming!

Return to Rapture Posted by: from: Boston,ma on i adored the first Bioshock and predicted the sequel to be like nearly as every other game sequel. no where near as good as the first.Bioshock 2 does something very rare. It manages to be very similar to its predecessor yet still prove to be different enough to feel fresh and refined. This is achieved through excellent plot, new characters an edge of your seat atmosphere that is all wrapped up in the stunningly gorgeous world of Rapture. The online multiplayer is pretty fun too, the only down-side being occasional lag (it's the same story with all games like this - when a game is developed around gameplay and immersion rather than out and out multplayer - e.g. CoD or Halo). You gain the use of different Plasmids and Tonics as you gain experience points and rank up, and as you do, you will also obtain access to stronger and more varied weapons. Computer games are like books, films and art; essentially, escapism. No other game in my opinion captures the essence of this 'escapism' better than the Bioshock franchise. Instead of living in a boring, cold Britain waiting to either be stabbed by a chav or freeze to death waiting for a bus, I am now a resident of Rapture. Yes I am being chased by Splicers throwing knives at me, being scared over and over at the sight and sound of a Big Sister and trying to rescue my kidnapped daughter. But I know where I'd rather be and I love it. Buy this game you won't regret it

Bioshock 1.5 Posted by: from: San Francisco, CA on It took them that long to come out with this? It's no wonder the developers were quick to announce work on Bioshock: Infinite. The storyline, gameplay improvements, graphic updates all makes the game feel like a DLC then a true sequel. At least let us destroy Rapture in the end. It's a good game but not worth the full price. Wait until it's $30 then get it.

Great game Posted by: from: Phoenix, az on The feel of being a big dady is not that big but it's fun to have a drill to punch through enemies, and a rivet gun to kill enemies fast, it feels somewhat familiar but i love the familiar felling because if it was otherwise i wouldn't have enjoyed it like i did. Buy it you won't regret it.

"...daddy, it's dancing!..." Posted by: from: Denver, CO on I am back to Rapture! This game is a blast and although it starts out kind of slow, the pace picks up not long afterwards. I feel more powerful and more ready to face "...them Big Daddies..." now that my one-two punch system is more efficient and time-saving (thus, life-saving). I have been saving my lil sisters so far and i'll kill 'em all later on my second playthrough...lol...but it doesn't matter to Big Sister as she is really angry! Multiplayer is crazy fun but takes time to apply Bioshock's somewhat clunky/clumsy control...Honestly, this is the only plus-factor to this installment as to me, the first Bioshock is better story-wise with both being beautiful graphically and are engaging. graphics: 10 sound: 10 gameplay/controls: 8 story: 8 (Bioshock 1 is better story-wise) length: 9 (lots of things to explore...and splice!) A.I.: 9.5 (they're fast and ain't so dumb...I tell you) Over-all: 9/10... "...daddy, it's dancing!..." says the lil sister...I say, 2K, go on and dance you victory dance!

Excellent Sequal to Bioshock Posted by: from: Kansas City, MO on I enjoyed the idea that you did not have to Harvest the LIttle Sisters but could actually Adopt them and have them Gather Adam. Having Kids of my own, I thought that was cruel to tear apart a little kid in order to get the needed Adam for your Plasmids. I like that they expanded the number of Tonic Slots from the Original. The game did seem rather short and there wasn't any combat outside in the Ocean. I also noticed that at one point in the game it disabled all my weapons except for the Drill / Camera / and Remote Hack Gun. I had to finish the game like that. (P.S.You also get to play a little sister toward the end of the game which I thought was interesting)
