A keeper in the music library. Posted by: from: ILLINOIS on This disk is just another stepping stone in the world of Jazz and Miles Davis him self. It still holds it's value and you can find new things every time you listen. The list of musicians is impressive and becomes the beginnings of new careers for many of them. Wayne Shorter played on further albums before leaving and helping to form Weather Report. Dave Holland on bass has moved around playing with many of the other people on this disc. He still tours with his own band. John McLaughlin contributes to this disc and several more after before moving on to form Mahavishnu Orchestra and blowing the jazz fusion world wide open. This was the MIles Davis training ground at ground level. Each Musician has made his mark in modern Jazz. Any one would enjoy exploring any of the members of this band further as they took their own paths to making sounds.
