Best Buy Customer Reviews

An album worth the inflated price of vinyl Posted by: from: on When I first started collecting records almost 16 years ago, you could buy a new album on vinyl for $10-20. Rarely would you see new records over $25, and they would most likely be special editions or contain multiple discs. In the past 5-10 years, collecting records has become en vogue again, so the prices have skyrocketed. New albums routinely cost $30 or more, and there's nothing special about them--just the album on normal black vinyl with an ordinary cardboard sleeve. This is not the case with Bowie's farewell album, Blackstar. This is an essential album for any collection to begin with, so the unique design of the vinyl is something special. It comes in a die-cut sleeve, exposing the record at the black star. It also contain a sleeve-size booklet, duplicating the one that comes with the CD version. This is truly a rare case where the inflated cost of vinyl is completely worth it. It is a must-buy.

An outstanding album Posted by: from: on After listening to this album, it's clear that David Bowie still had so much to say. Although taken too soon, this album is lyrically poetic and brilliant. And it's a fitting message of goodbye from someone who spent his entire life creating such unique art.
