Brutal Auditory Assult Posted by: from: taylorville,il on If you are into any type of heavy music you will like this disc, maybe even love it. This album is heavy and punishing with a massive amount of drums and bass slightly beneath a wall guitars and strained alcohol soaked vocals, it is trully heavy metal! The opener has this huge drum intro that fades in and goes from there into hard rocking guitars and doesn't stop for six minutes. The next song has this beutiful acoustic break near the end, it is also my favorite part of the album. the rest of the disc puts you in your place by bashing you in the head. The last track is an instrumental. Great music for your buck.

Amazing Posted by: from: on If you like music with speed, heaviness, and tons of aggression, you'll love High on Fire's Blessed Black Wings. Its all of that on one album. The guitars and bass blend perfectly on every song to combine into one massive sound, and the drums are like thunder. Matt Pike's vocals are quite different from most metal vocalists, and may take some getting used to, or you may instantly enjoy them like some. Its a great album for any fan of metal. All should give HoF a try.
