MACHINEHEAD Posted by: from: EAST COAST LONG ISLAND on All of the songs on “Bloodstone & Diamonds” have the trade marks you would expect on any MACHINE HEAD album, but it’s the way they are delivered that is different, almost special. MACHINE HEAD are pushing boundaries and trying to expand their rule. MACHINE HEAD are one of the hardest working bands around; this has become very clear over the years. “Bloodstone & Diamonds” is yet another MACHINE HEAD masterpiece. The final song, “Take me Through The Fire” ends the album in style. It sums up the MACHINE HEAD legacy nicely, leaving a want for more. It shows why MACHINE HEAD should be crowned the new kings of Metal. But, there is something different with “Bloodstone & Diamonds”, you can’t help but feel within these 12 songs there’s a hidden intent, it feels like the “Bloodstone & Diamonds” journey doesn’t end here. It feels like MACHINE HEAD are not finished yet, like there’s more to come, and if this piece of work is anything to go by, god help us all, who knows what is coming! All should bow before the kings of Metal.

Machine Head continues to raise the bar in Metal Posted by: from: Pomona, CA on Machine Head continues their incredible streak of instant classic heavy metal albums. Since releasing the Ashes of Empires in 2003, they continue to raise the bar for the heavy metal genre with their blistering anthems of perseverance and despair with each album that has followed, including 2007's The Blackening, 2011's Unto the Locust, and then this specific album. Some of my favorite tracks on this album include heavier tracks such as "Eyes of the Dead" and "Game Over." There's also some unique tracks like "Beneath the Silt," which is somewhat reminiscent of something the Deftones might come up. Overall, an incredible album that was definitely one of the best releases of 2014.

Another Masterpiece From Machine Head Posted by: from: Burke, VA on It took me a few listens to really "get" this album, but once I did, I discovered that it's brilliant. Period. I believe this is Machine Head's second best album, JUST behind The Blackening. You can just tell they put their hearts and soul into this from start to finish. My hands down favorite track is "Game Over." But, really, pick a song: they all rock hard. The deluxe packaging is fantastic, as well. Great job with the design and content. Purchase this album if you're any kind of metal fan. Thank you, Machine Head, for yet another masterpiece!

Awesome Album! Posted by: from: on These guys never disappoint! Pretty solid album, still needs to grow on me. I loved the last two of theirs. I plan on getting the collector's book this came with signed at the show in March! I often buy music straight from the artist, but they had this on release week for $9 or so, I couldn't pass it up! Not to mention, metal music needs a bump in the album sales numbers, I'm so sick of Pop/Country/Whiny Rock hogging the spotlight!

Not bad if you like Machinehead Posted by: from: on A simple review hre. If you're a fan of Machinehead, this cd is good. It falls somewhere in between their best releases and the middle of the road discs. I can't compare it to anything that's they've released previous...maybe a bit more complex than "The Blackening" and maybe a step in a more progressive direction. In the scale of 1-10 I give this a solid 8

Machine Head; still in a "album groove" Posted by: from: Cincinnati, OH on I was pleasantly surprised by this album. The Blackening was just an awesome album, but Unto The Locust kinda felt like a step backwards in my opinion. Bloodstone & Diamonds feels like The Blackening did, just a lot more raw sounding. And the media book is a great extra that more albums should come packaged like. Definitely grab this for that special metalhead this Christmas.

These guys keep cranking out quality stuff Posted by: from: on Another amazing release from these Bay Area legends. Ever since The Blackening these guys have been on a role almost unheard of in modern metal. Varied songs, great guitar work and epic songs create another must have metal cd.

Deluxe package is worthy of deluxe description. Posted by: from: Visalia, CA. on This was not what we expected but we were not disappointed. Hard rock music with intelligent lyrics. Some of the vocal styling was not always to my preference but overall good vocals. Music was very good. A nice addition for those that like the rock music styles such as heavy metal, speed metal and hard rock. Nice price for what the package includes.

Machine Head!!! Posted by: from: on Bloodstone and Diamonds is another great Machine Head release. I swear these guys get better with every release. There is not one song on this album that I do not like. The media book has expanded artwork and is packaged like a hard cover book. The layout is awesome and the expanded artwork is well worth the extra money.
