Great show. Posted by: from: on Steve Buscemi was perfectly cast as Nucky. Sucks it didn't get anymore episodes.

Another Excellent Season Posted by: from: Louisville, KY on While it lacks the greatness of Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones, it's still another winner in the HBO historical series. Honestly, I think they made a big mistake bringing the Darmondy affair to an end in the second season. It should have been a series- wide arc culminating in the final season, with James and the rest scheming to betray and undermine Nucky, and the latter slowly getting onto them, until it all comes clear. Still, it is what it is, and while Season 3's war against Gyp Rosetti seemed more like a one-off excursion, something bigger is brewing this season. Fan Favorites Chalky White and Richard Harrow feature heavily, and the always good Jeffrey Wright joins the cast as a seemingly civilized intellectual who reveals himself to have a very dark side, and Michael Shannon's former FBI agent turned fugitive goes in some promising directions. Just a preamble for the next and last season, but don't miss it.

Great Series Posted by: from: on This season was a little confusing, a season you have to watch twice to completely understand.

A great period piece Posted by: from: on So far I have watched Seasons 1-2, and am looking forward to seasons 3-4 which I do own on blu ray. A good show complimented by Blu ray tech which helps the sound and hearing the dialogue. Anything else go to IMDB to read about the episodes. The acting is solid and the show continues to deliver a good escape from the real world into the past.

Great stories Posted by: from: on Saw all 12 episodes in one sitting. This is round 4 with the same strong characters who survived the last round. Some new characters, too, who fit right in. Terrific storylines with great payoffs. Here are my favorite characters in this series: Nucky, always good, boy he knows how to lie. Al Capone, this guy is ready to explode big time. Nelson Van Alden, again great fun watching this guy snap. Eli, we hope these brother issues get resolved. Arnold Rothstein, unsinkable. Chalky, love him, love him. Eddie Kessler, wow, he steals the show. Gillian, out to outsmart everybody. Richard Harrow, on a mission-quest and we finally get to see how handsome he is. Daughter Maitland, what a breath of fresh air, great voice, gorgeous close-ups. Sally Wheet, a real sweetheart who can throw a punch (played by a favorite actress who I didn't recognize until she smiled). Willie, potential rising star within the family. Bill McCoy, a rum runner worth Googling to read about his incredible career. Knox, utterly hateful with no redeeming qualities, hope a piano falls on his head. And then there's Dr. Valentin Narcisse, the diabolical impressario, this guy is really something else. Spend a day watching the entire series, then sleep for 12 hours.

Boardwalk Binge and Lovin' It Posted by: from: Orange County, California on I got my first taste of Boardwalk Empire on Black Friday when I got Boardwalk Empire season one. That started the binge that didn't stop until I watched every episode of every season. Season four kicks up the action and story line to edge of your seat excitement. Just when you thought you'd seen it all, here comes season four. You can't miss with Boardwalk Empire.
