It does not cross the edge of thicker rugs. It just sits at the edge whirring. It moves strongly, so may be bad for wood furniture legs. When trapped, it is very persistent in trying to go a single direction. It is a bit thicker than the Roomba, so does not go under some furniture that the Roomba does easily. All in all, I like my Roomba better, but I l will keep the Bobsweep. It does get the dust and dirt!

Makes life easier for me

I have a hairy dog that makes me sweep daily. This round robot fixed this dellema and is well worth the price.
The first unit happened to be defective but they quickly sent me a new one and some amazing choloates so hey... I must say they have good consumer service like no other.
The Bobi I have now works like a charm, finds its charging station.
My dog didn't like bobi but I put some treats on it and he was ok with it after that.

Our future is doomed
Posted by: MrClean from: on
If our future is going to be robotics I am one scared civilian. This robot was down right useless. My one year old could clean the floors better than this robot. I thought maybe, just maybe it would vacuum. I did not not expect much. But it got stuck on every carpet on my tile and just beeped the whole time waking us up. It wouldn't even do dark carpets. It got stuck under the table for about a half an hour until it just gave up. It runs into stainless steel appliances until it marks it up. This vacuum was designed to test your patients as an individual. It has no limits on what it can't do. You were warned.

This thing is a piece of junk. It doesn't vacuum well at all. Can't imagine how horrible the mopping would be. Constantly runs into things. Drags pet hair behind it till it falls off in big clumps. Isn't worth $50, much less $800!!!

Not as great as in seems.

I thought this would be the perfect time saver and addition to my home. It was "fun" at first but found that it just went around in circles but never did much cleaning.

It seems to eventually get everything except some fluff pieces ... does take awhile to do a large area. Glad to have it.

Sleek style but mediocre performance
Posted by: CryoStasis from: on
I bought this to test it in my home with wood floors, I have 4 dogs and dander gets everywhere so I got bobi to sanitize, sweep & vacuum but with its inability to get into certain areas, poor furniture sense, and its aggressive actions to move light stands or chairs around, it's far from what I wanted! We also noticed it liked to go over certain areas a lot before proceeding to other parts of the home, and the bin is incrediblely small that gets full after one room!!! There's definitely better bots out there...

Our lil helper
Posted by: dangboy from: on
it takes a couple of runs to understand what sort of space setting it needs to run independently but it gets there. Wouldn't recommend for not open floor spaces. it tends to get trapped in 1/2 baths and closets if you tend to leave them open.

A vacuum that doesn't need a lot of effort to use.
Posted by: lazydirtbag from: on
I took a look at a lot of different vacuums, (including those of the non-robotic variety) until I finally decided on this one. It takes like one minute of setup to connect bobi to the charging device and the remote control. After that, the vacuum drives back to charge itself, and you can use the remote to control it from a pretty good distance. (several feet)
It's pretty easy to use, you literally press the button that says, "Go!" and you don't have to worry about vacuuming! It's also pretty quiet.
