Picked it up from best buy the other day and activated it and it is quick. Only con is there is no option to control data off the 4G hotspot unlike its predecessor Boost Netgear Fuse.

I bought this to use while I was in NYC for a week staying at a family member's place who was out of state and did not have the Internet hooked up. I chose Boost because they had double the data that anyone else had for the same money. Setup was easy and it worked flawlessly out there between two computers and I still had a good amount of data leftover. No problems, no issues whatsoever.

Bought 10g worth For $50 bucks. Had to call customer support to set up device. After i set up the device the display was either No connection or 1 signal bar.
Called customer service and they told me that one of the towers in my area was not working properly with no ETA when it will be fixed. So as of right now, I have 10g of prepaid data that will expire in 27 days and cant use a single bit of data.

Poor Signal, but may work better for someone else
Posted by: MDMom from: on
I purchased the Boost Hotspt and used it for a month while I waited for my home broadband internet to be installed. The associate at Best Buy suggested Boost as a more cost effective hotspot option. After getting home, I turned it on and the signal was at 1 bar. I called Boost and they did said I should have a strong signal given my location. They did some troubleshooting, but that only minimally improved my signal. Overall my experience with the Boost hotspot was poor. On most days, the connection was equivalent to a dial-up connection.
