Wonderful tool, minus the hyperbole

OK I got this juicer just as soon as it came out. I read all the reviews of all the juicers I could find, and it was clear that Breville was the best way to go. And the raves were all about the previous model which had less power and only one speed. I love the juicer but I guess I was expecting a divine product by the review I read. I'll just say it is good quality without drooling all over about it...
~easy to clean, (do it sooner rather than let stuff dry on)
~smartly designed electrical plug
~motor cannot run if parts are not locked together (for safety reasons)
~product has few angles and many curves, which makes cleaning easier since pulp/juice can be hard to reach where there are corners
~two speeds: fast for power, slow for soft items
~it really can make 8oz juice in 5 seconds!
~huge food chute can accommodate an entire apple... you save time not needing to cut many things pre-juicing.
~tomatoes - even on slow setting, the juicer doesn't efficiently grab all the juice of a tomato. perhaps do tomatoes first, then recycle the 'pulp' back through juicer to get more juice
~even though the plastic is durable and dark colored (to distract against discoloration) carrots do tend to stain it immediately.
The con's are really quite trivial but I thought I should mention them since I was expecting pure perfection based on the reviews I read. I love the product and I would not swap it for anything. Besides, it is extremely affordable for what you get out of it!

Juicing is the best way to add fruits and vegetables in your diet. This machine is a wonder. I purchased it at the end of June beginning of July and have lost 10 lbs. just by adding more juice to my diet. I recommend watching "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" by Joe Cross (on Netflix). He uses the same juicer and he uses it in his car to show people that juicing should be a way of life and that it is pretty easy to use and it's a quality product. Two thumbs up!

Got this juicer about a month ago. LOVE IT! Although there are many pieces to this machine, it's worth it. Actually, being able to take it all apart it makes it really easy to clean. It is kind of bulky, but I assure you, it does an amazing job getting all the juice out of a fruit or vegetable. It does not however, do a good job juice things like wheatgrass and parsley, but usually you need a different kind of juicer for grasses and herbs. All in all, I'd say it's worth the price. I'm very happy with this buy.

Worth the money

If you have the time and patience to clean up after just one glass of juice, this to you will be the best thing invented. There are 4 things that you have to disassemble and clean after using this, even if its just one glass of juice. It is amazing however, in that you literally can put an entire small apple and get juice from it within 5 seconds. I've heard of other juicers having mixed reviews because of problems with the motor or it just not juicing properly. I have had this for almost a year and now i only want to buy Breville appliances.

I have used this juicer for little over a month. I am new to the plant based lifestyle and admittedly, I was worried about spending the money on a gimmick, it's a nice addition to my already spotless kitchen.
I've grown to really love this thing. It juices quickly and efficiently. It is a little loud, but, it sits on my granite counter top, so I guess that is to be expected.
I researched juicers and found that this was the best option in this price range. I am currently doing the Reboot (fat sick and nearly dead) juice diet and it's working. 1-2 times a day, this thing juices kale, celery, whole cucumbers, whole granny smith apples, etc. I have never once had a problem. It's actually kind of fun...reminds me of the woodchipper scene from "Fargo".
The only thing I do not enjoy is cleaning it. Every piece of this thing needs to be cleaned after every use, which is to be expected. It's not a big deal, but, I am very thorough and I take the plastic pieces apart, scrub them in the sink and then run them through a light wash on the top tray in the dish washer.
Overall, I could not be more pleased. If you are not going to commit to the diet, do not waste your money. If you are definitely going to do this, then you will love this thing.

Strong juicer. Extracts a lot of juice...pulp is very dry. Easy to clean. After a month of twice daily use it seems to be very durable.

Well worth the cost!

I saw the movie "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" and knew I wanted the exact juicer used in the movie. Others told me to try a less expensive or smaller juicer, but I went with my gut! Soooo worth the expense. Others have had to replace their juicers after a couple of weeks or a month. Mine is still going strong. Check out the website to the movie. This changed my life. http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/

This juicer rocks. I use it two and three times daily. It's very easy to clean and it's small so it doesn't take up too much counter space. I couldn't live without it now that I have it!

Very good juicer for fruits and veggies!

I have been using this juicer for a couple of months now and love it! It is so fast and easy to use. Cleanup is pretty easy too. Love the pitcher that holds back the foam when you pour! I juice about 1-2 times a week, so time will tell if it holds up and continues to do the job as well. But so far so good. I also have a Huron masticating juicer that I really liked in the beginning, since it made juice with so little waste...But is a bit slower and over time seems to not to separate as well. The juice is highly fibrous even when using the finer strainer. I started needing to strain the juice after juicing more and more. But the huron is more versatile. It can make almond milk and also wheat grass which the Breville doesn't. But for quick and easy juicing on a daily basis, the Breville is great!
