Easy setup with all my apple products. Airprint feature is what sold me. Tough to find anywhere currently. Bought my spare toner at Staples for 50 dollars (Tn660). No complaints so far will keep you updated if anything changes

Best All-Around Printer
Posted by: SteveO from: on
I am an IT professional and have been looking for a home printer that also works with all mobile devices (Android and Apple), interfaces with cloud services (DropBox), and save scans to my home server. This printer exceeded that in every aspect. I can scan to a PC, mobile device, or network server. Prints double sided and is very fast. I was willing to pay more for a more rugged SOHO printer, until I found that most businesses do not allow the functionality listed above and therefore only home office grade printers have all of these features. The Brother offered more than HP or Canon and the toner cartridge prices were the most reasonable. HANDS DOWN BEST PRINTER OF 2015.

Excellent printer, no major issues
Posted by: deejub44 from: Upstate NY on
Great feature set, with duplex scanning and printing. Print quality great. Only issues -- and they are minor gripes -- are the lack of a one-touch copy button and the need to access Brother Utilities to get to the scanning software. In each case it adds an unnecessary extra step.

Tired of Inkjets
Posted by: CallForHelp from: on
After going through years of several inkjets, I made the switch to a Brother Laser. I go long periods of not printing, so the inkjets would dry out, require cleaning cycles using up the precious ink. I don't expect that to be an issue with a laser printer.
The Brother was so easy to set up, connected quick and easy to my network and the software has worked flawlessly. I will probably get a better quality paper with a smoother finish to improve the density of the print.
Some reviews say that you can't email from the printer without a computer. This is not true. Under the Apps section, there is an easy email button, that lets you scan to email. It uses a brother server so you should make sure the subject line says who you are. You can save a custom button that will remember an email address and subject line, so you don't have to type it in everytime. Works great.

I have been buying printers for Computers since 1995 and this printer was the easiest hookup of any printer I have ever owned. Thank you Brother

I was pleased with this item. It is smaller than the previous versions but packs a punch.

I was visiting my in-laws over the holidays and they wanted to get a new all-in-one printer while we were visiting so I could set it up for them and show them how to use it. Super easy setup and I was able to sync it up with their window PCs, macs, ipad and iphones to print wireless without a problem. Setting up the scanning features was really easy as well. Ink lasts forever! Great printer!
