The game that started it all Posted by: from: on Now many people think that the whole Call of Duty craze was started with COD Modern Warfare. I am here to put that to bed, this was the game that started it with the launch of the XBox 360 it was one of two shooters that were available at launch (the other was Perfect Dark). The gameplay in the campaign and the feeling and comradery you got in the multiplayer experience, there was almost nothing i had played like it in gaming before. Now 11 years old, the games graphics are still holding up and the gameplay in the campaign is still one of the best i have played, based on real locations and movies and tv series like storming the beach on Saving Private Ryan and one specific town from The tv miniseries Band of Brothers is a replica of the small town of Carentan, France. This is a first person shooters must play game. Worth the $15 to relive the thrill of using a Thompson submachine gun or a semi automatic M1 Garand. 5/5 stars

very realistic. Posted by: from: cedar rapids, ia on i bougt this game used for 15 dollars and i thought it was worth every penny. it is very fun and in the campain the germans can drop a variety of guns. although the dday mission isnt like the one that happened in ww2. it is a really fun mission though. in xbox live even though you can play only up to 9 players at a time it is really fun when you do deathmatch. this is a must own game and that is why it was game of the year

Great Price, Playable on Xbox One Posted by: from: on Call of Duty 2 is now playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility. It's a great deal to get to experience one of the earliest Call of Duty games again on a newer platform.

A classic Posted by: from: Chicago on I bought this game at the time I purchased my Xbox, back in 2006. Nearly 6 years later I am still playing this game. This is the game that helped me fall in love with my Xbox. It has a sense of history that the other COD games don't have. The demolition scenario is worth playing repeatedly. It's not as attractive as subsequent games, and the AI is a hair slower which allows you to get off your shots a little faster and survive longer. All in all this is a superb game, and worth the price, especially now!

Good Game! Posted by: from: Myrtle Beach, SC on We just purchased this in 2016. I give it 5 stars since it is reasonably priced due to its age and provides good game play with challenging missions. Knowing this is an older game, I didn't expect too much in the way of realism (graphics). So I rated based the rating on 2005 technology. I just wanted some new campaigns to conquer & this works well, especially at a much lower price than new games. After playing new Call of Duty games, the graphics were actually surprisingly good, but not as good as newer games of course. It is rated teen so the gore factor is not bad compared to the newer games. There is some swearing though if that is a concern. Again, scaled down compared to new games. Overall, just good game play, which is what I wanted. It is WWII scenarios & weapons. It reminds me of Medal of Honor from the PS2 days.

The first best shooter for the 360 Posted by: from: Antelope, CA on This game is amazing. The intense battles of WW2 is brought back to life. I liked how you would also switch between different countries throughout the campaign and that gave it some more feel. Overall, this game is a must-buy. But if you enjoy playing on Live, then you shouldn't get it. This game is pretty old and the games you would play would only have roughly 9 players, max.
