Unfortunate dissapointment Posted by: from: Hesperia, Ca on I am an active Call of Duty player. I have played since the first Modern Warfare. Please remember that this is only one persons review of the game. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. This game unfortunately was a big let down. With all the hype that was behind this game, I was hoping for something amazing that has never been seen before in this franchise. I don't feel like it delivered. Again, just my opinion. The single player campaign was incredibly short and not a real challenge.Visually, however, the game was astonishing. The story behind the Ghosts was pretty cool. But nothing that really makes you say, WHOA! The maps on the multiplayer vary drastically. One map can be very sparse and wide open, when the next map is very busy and too condensed. I feel it totally broke away from what Infinity Ward accomplished with previous games. Again, this is one mans opinion of the game. Play it yourself with an open mind.

Same stuff, different game Posted by: from: Denver, CO on As a 10+ years xbox live subscriber, I would give 2 out of 10 for the multiplayer gaming of this game. I wish they looked at the original Ghost Recon series and take a lesson or two. Remember the server browsers, free multiplayer maps, etc etc? It was said that this game would have dedicated servers on xbox 360. This is not true! The same problems that has had happened with the previous CoD series continues with this game. Constant lag, host migration, and so forth. They simply ignore gamers' needs yet focus solely on selling DLC and make as much money as possible. It is kind of sad that infinity ward tried the copy some features of Battle Field's Frostbite 3 engine for the dynamic environments. However, it failed miserably! Just because you make a gas station collapse does not mean the environment is dynamic. It is actually quite funny! I would not recommend this garbage game. People should stop buying this game and maybe only then activision or infinity ward will seriously revamp these series.

Not worth the hype Posted by: from: altoona pa on This seems to be another rehash of all the other games, the new "feel" kind of stinks, they definitely promote jumping and sliding, no offense if I want to play Halo I would. It almost seems if Richard Simmons and Derek Jeter could be your drill instructors then you would be ready to play. It's all about jumping and sliding to get kills for the most part. Most of the maps are the same re-used , old suburban warfare. To be honest , save your money and play the last cod or black ops. They did put a few new game modes in , which in principal I liked, unfortunately, you have to play it on the engine they run. I am tired of being a sheeple and won't ever buy another COD until I can actually see it being played. If you love frustration without reward #even if you are an accomplished player# buy this.

Wish I wouldn't have wasted my money... Posted by: from: Brisk Desert Southwest on Game was fun the first couple of days. I really play mostly multiplayer team deathmatch etc. the spawning is horrible. You will literally spawn right in front of the enemy and sometimes when they are already shooting your teammate so they get two kills. Plus you have to wait to respawn and watch your teammates play. Then you will spawn in front of the enemy and get to wait again. Or like the other reviewer said, you get shot in the back because the enemy spawned right behind you. Pretty sad to think that COD only gets worse and worse and we keep paying for this junk every November. The lag has been getting worse and worse too since I see more and more players online, should be really interesting about December 25th... The lag is probably worse than prior COD's already. Wish Best Buy took returns I would rather get a new hair removal device than keep this game or something more useful. Oh well at least I still have the old COD's to fall back on.

Great Game - Some Opportunities Posted by: from: Minneapolis, MN on COD Ghosts is a great change from the previous games. The new sound engine is great, where weapons actual sound like guns, and not a cap gun. The graphics, even though it's not next generation, run smooth and look great. The campaign is also VERY fun and exciting. The one thing that this game lacks is a ground war multiplayer option. Some of the MP maps are HUGE, comparable to BF3. While you only have 6v6, it takes awhile to find an enemy, so no more "run n gun", unless you're playing cranked, where you'll have smaller maps selected.

This is a great game. Fun, entertaining, & better. Posted by: from: Annapolis, MD on I Played few COD games and battlefield games. I like this game. This is a Good game . Favorite thing is the new extinction mode. It looks chaotic at 1st but after few games and learning to work as a team, it is so much fun, action packed, and offers many new tactics. Making it much better than zombies. Story line is not bad . It's entertaining . Best things are the cool action scenes and new ways you use tactics in the missions . Multiplayer is very good. They worked out all the kinks from before. Yes you do die faster but it's a good thing. Because now it prevents the bunny hoping and moving side to side to avoid dying . They also made it harder to do quick scoping. Maps are bigger and well constructed. Which is good. The hard core COD gamers hate the changes because they can't get all the kill streaks like they use too. 1 of The main reason for bad reviews. Overall very good game. I prefer it over battlefield 4.

Excellent continuation of a great game Posted by: from: Los Angeles, CA on Another great iteration of the COD genre. I mostly play multiplayer and the play is a lot less lag. Graphics are good and the first set of maps is pretty good, mostly larger maps, and they need to add some smaller CQB maps.

Decent Game, Servers are bad Posted by: from: Rochesrer, NY on So the campaign is awesome. I wont give too many details but the levels are really cool. The multi-player has had some upgrades since it first came out, before it was all over the place. If you like COD and have played the games in the past or got the most recent COD i'd skip this one - i kinda of treat COD's like my iPhones - you skip the release after your model and get the one after that...but thats just me. Servers for 360 right now are all laggy...lots of lag, even if you have a great connection i've heard of people running into these issues...picking a new host is good and SOMETIMES fixes the issues... overall good game though, its been a couple years since my last COD purchase so i was excited about this

I would give it 0 stars if I could Posted by: from: Farmington Hills, Mi on This game has so many things not going for it as I have listed below: Random spawn will put you right in front of the enemy. Lag is seriously a problem, you can be facing a window and the enemy crawls through that window while you are shooting at him and he shoots one shot and you are dead. The instant replay never shows you shooting a shot. Sniper rifles do not need to have crosshairs anywhere near your body for you to die. (Snipers rule in this game!!) Host migration happens at least every other game. Maps are too large. I will be trading this game in for something that doesnt suck.

New Campaign Story & new MP Game Modes Posted by: from: Bothell, WA on Created by Infinity Ward - who brought Modern Warfare, 2, & 3. The campaign is a new story (go play it as I don't want to spoil it for you). The multiplayer has many ways to customized your characters as there are many maps and modes to play on. The game introduce Squads mode for you to build your team and send them into battle. The Extinction mode is like the Zombie modes in the previous games. Except this time is about aliens. Overall, you know you'll buy it.
