Great UPS with Large Capacity

06/23/2014I needed to purchase a new UPS to safely run and protect my gaming desktop computer and other devices.
I live in an apartment so I have my gaming setup in the same room as my bed, so I've had to devise ways of blocking the incredibly bright blue LED from making my room a cool blue in the middle of the night.
Items I have connected to this beast:
21.5" Acer Monitor
Linksys Wireless Router
Xbox 360 (Slim)
Gaming Desktop with the specifications of:
- i7-4770K Processor
- 16GB 2400Mhz RAM
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 GPU
- 4 Hard Drives
- 720W Power Supply
- Tons of USB Electronics plugged into it
All of these devices plugged in and turned on (the computer being in an average-load state and the Xbox 360 being on the dashboard) provides me with 30 minutes of battery backup protection - extremely impressive!!
Make sure if you are plugging in a computer to this UPS that the Power Supply is supported by this UPS' simulated sinewave technology. Some newer PSU's require a newer technology to supply energy and this UPS does not have said technology.
I ordered this item online and picked it up at my local Best Buy, and I noticed that the product shipped from a Returns center in Akron, OH. Not entirely sure if it was just returned or if it was refurbished, but the product arrived with a full battery and it properly underwent the tests that the free software from CyberPower provides to ensure that the UPS is working effieciently.
Granted, I've had this device for two weeks as of the time of this review, but so far so good.

10/28/2013My previous UPS's batteries died so I needed to get a replacement. This CyberPower looked like a good deal.
It works as expected.
I have a homebuilt PC loaded with hard drives and video cards, external hard drives, router and two 27" monitors all connected to the UPS. I am pulling a lot of power with my setup so for a 1500 watt UPS I don't expect it to last long in a power outage.
I have had two small outages since I purchased the UPS and it worked like a champ.
It took over like it is suppose to and none of my equipment lost power.

08/10/2013Until I purchase another one, I am actually using this to power 2 home media servers. The downside is that during an outage only one of the systems will be powered down gracefully.
I seriously thought my 2 19" rack mounted systems power draw was a LOT more than the UPS is showing. I mainly purchased this to keep the power "blinks" brownouts and drops from destroying hard drives and motherboards. This unit powers the following:
Primary Server: i3-3220 w/1600 watt power supply and qty 10 2, 3 and 4 TB hard drives serving audio and video
Backup Server: Intel Quad 6600 with 750 watt power supply and qty 12 2, 3 and 4 TB hard drives backing up the primary server at night.
The power draw for both units combined servers is only like 370 watts at idle. I have been running this unit for over a year now and my issues with hard drives (mainly boot drives) crashing has ceased.
I think I got this on sale for like $150 so it was a great deal. I also have the rack-mount 1500AVR and have used that on my overclocked i7-3930k workstation and i7-920 before that for 4 years now.
Awesome products. My systems run 24 hours a day and usually only get rebooted once a month for Windows updates thanks to these UPS products.
Spend the extra money and protect your hardware and information. It is worth it.
