Like the subject says: as described. No dead pixels; beautiful monitor that isn't from a sketchy Korean company on EBay. I upgraded from a 22" and moving up to 27" took some adjusting too (I actually got a headache for the first few days). After that though - its gorgeous. Gaming (on a GTX 680) has never been more immersive at such a high resolution. My large excel & visio files are much more workable as I can quickly scan the whole page as opposed to scrolling. I honestly now have a tough time using another computer with a normal size monitor, specifically at my day job - it feels as though I took my adult size desk and downgraded to one of those 5th-grade chair-and-tiny-desk combos - yeah you can get the job done, but its uncomfortable and inefficient. Or, for gaming, it's comparable to going from non-HD sports to HD sports and then having to go back again. Ugh. I love it. If it weren't so expensive I'd get two and duo monitor it.

I am a photo hobbyist and this is the best monitor I have ever owned for editing pictures. As a hobbyist I don't need pro quality (or price), but I wanted something better than a standard panel. This monitor fits that requirement nicely. I was initially concerned about the IPS light bleed that so many reviewers talk about, especially concerning this monitor. This monitor does have some light bleed, but it's very subtle. It is only apparent during the darkest screen displays and even then I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it. It certainly does not bother me. There is one disadvantage to this monitor, but it's not the monitor's fault it's mine. The 1440 resolution, even on a 27" monitor, makes the text appear smaller and my eyes don't see as well as they did when I was younger. The fact that this monitor displays even the smallest text razor sharp really helps. If you work with MS Office this 1440 monitor is excellent at displaying a very large portion of a spreadsheet, 60 rows and out to column AN at default settings, or a long Word document. Overall I am quite happy with the monitor. About the only thing I have not done with it is watch a full HD movie. I have a wonderful home theater system so even a great 27" monitor is not the way I want to watch my movies.

I bought this monitor because I was hesitant to pay for a Thunderbolt. I am a graphic designer and needed something that would give me high definition and also be large enough to work in multiple windows. At almost half the price of a Thunderbolt and with the Thunderbolt having mixed reviews I opted to save money. And I'm so glad I did. The non-glossy screen means I can work in my office which has lots of natural light. The adjustable stand is very easy to move around to promote good posture and viewing of accurate colors. I hooked it up to my mac pro and I don't like working on anything else now.
