Great fully automated espresso machine
Posted by: Staford2017 from: stanford, ca on
To save money and make some great tasting espresso beverages at home, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a machine.
There are various types/models to choose from, although I decided I didn't have time to play, energy or desire to make the perfect espresso using the non-automated machine. Out of all the fully automated models in the market, this one is by far had the best reviews.
Before purchasing, these were the problems I was expecting
1. difficult maintenance
2. luke warm expresso
1. Cleaning the machine is easy, just make sure to use deionized water and clean the water and milk containers on a weekly basis, especially the tubing in the milk container.
2. The drink temperature is perfect for my taste, although if you like your scorching hot so that it has time to cool off, then you may not be too happy with this machine

Awesome espresso maker

The lattissima plus is an amazing coffee machine. The best part is how it automatically mixes the milk into the espresso.

Excellent espresso and lattes.

Overall, my husband and I love our new espresso machine. We tend to make lattes more often than espresso and by picking the right milk to achieve maximum frothiness (surprisingly Parmalat works really well), this machine delivers exceptional results every time. The settings take a while to get right - the temperature, how much to put in your cup etc; but once you figure that out, this machine is worth the investment.

It's simple & FUN to use! Great tasting espressos!
Posted by: bobasaur from: SF, CA on
Nespresso does a really good job creating a wide variety of espresso pods to choose from. Each one actually taste different from one another! You can taste the peppery spices in the Indian coffees, and the fruity wine like flavor in the columbian one. They also release limited edition flavors every once in a while to keep things interesting; I can't wait to try the new Ethiopian one!
All the Nespresso machines pull consistently good espresso, but the Lattissima+ is a step above the rest in that it will froth the milk, pull the shot, and literally make you a cappuccino at the push of a button, a-la The Jetsons.
If you get a chance to stop by a Nespresso boutique you should. First just to experience the over-the-top theatrics of the place (it was so awkward!).... but more importantly to try out some of the flavors before you buy them, and save on shipping too!

We always have the need to have our coffee fix in the morning, & sometimes even at night. Tried different coffee makers and espresso makers from inexpensive to expensive, but nothing seems to work for us. Other ones would seem perfect at first, but after a month or even less, there'll be some malfunctions in the machine; others won't give us the right amount of froth that we like and the rt temperature.
Thank goodness we've decided to try this one out. It's pricey but so far so good, & for us, the price is worth it. The only downside I think is that, we can only purchase a a few types of flavor outside of nespresso.com at bed bath & beyond; only 1 brand. So, we just buy whatever they have & buy our own syrup mix that we love, then it's heavenly. Right amount of espresso, right amount of froth, & right temperature.
In short, it's the perfect household espresso one could have. Easy to use and clean.
Hoping that it'll last for a very long time without any problems.

On my second one
Posted by: Marcine from: on
I love cappuccino's and was very excited to have this machine. My first one stopped frothing the milk after 4 months so I returned it and got another one (always get the warranty from Best Buy with electronic purchases). So far the second one is working great but it's only been 2 months. I did learn that you need to clean the frother with each use (which is just holding down a button and letting the machine push water through it). That MAY have been my problem with the first one.
Having to buy the pods are not a big deal for me. You can do it through an app on your smartphone or from Amazon. Cappuccino is a treat for me so I don't go through a ton of pods. This was a little luxury item I purchased and I am enjoying it!!

Makes delicious drinks
Posted by: Coffeeguru from: on
This little machine works wonders! It heats up very quick and all you need to do is pop in a capsule and give it about a minute and you perfect cup of cappuccino or latte is there waiting for you! Capsules can start getting expensive if your a coffee drinker like myself. One capsule only makes you about 4-6 oz drinks using milk, so I tend to use 2 capsules per drink. Overall this little machine has performed to its expectations.

No need for Starbucks

Bought this for the boss lady for a gift, it was either this or the Ninja coffee bar, the Ninja makes a variety of drinks, but she wanted this one. Makes good cappuccino drinks and frothed milk

The best of the instant espresso machines or MFGs
Posted by: HowellAudioman from: Howell, NJ on
Truly a great product that is accented by its great coffees and their unique vacuumed sealed process. Suggestion: when you buy a machine head over to the Nespresso store in Soho or Mid-town, sit, relax, sample coffees and buy in bulk for greater savings and to insure you'll always have an on hand supply. I recommend the Ciocattino flavor - good stuff. Enjoy!
