Fun and family friendly Posted by: from: on I would strongly recommend this game to anyone who wants to have fun with family or friends. The game also utilizes the Kinect very well.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved Posted by: from: on I highly recommend this game, it's super fun, and visually it's like you can do magic tricks with sprinkles

Good Use of Kinect, Short Value Game Posted by: from: NJ on I purchased this game because it was on sale, made use of the Kinect, and I'm a fan of music and the Fantasia movies. The game has gotten more traction from my girlfriend than it has me (which is impressive to me because she hated the Fantasia movies), but here's my general picture of the game: Plot - 3 out of 10 - I don't get it. You're the "Apprentice' helping Yen Sid (the wizard) fight the noise. Feels very forced. Gameplay - 6.5 out of 10 - It almost reminds me of Dance Dance Revolution but for your hands. You have to swipe and perform gestures as they appear on the screen. The Kinect picks up these gestures pretty well, but after doing about 4-5 songs you start getting tired whipping your arms around. I'd compare it to actually conducting music, but the motions are sometimes so spastic that it doesn't always feel comfortable with the music. Graphics - 9 out of 10 - It's a Disney production so it is going to look good. Very cartoonish. Audio - 8 out of 10 - The song choices are nice and somewhat surprising for a Disney Game (Super Bass still has Nicki Minaj saying "Who the 'F' I is..." which is pretty obviously refering to the curse). My personal favorite aspect are some of the "remixes" that come with the game. They basically take the pre-existing song and throw them into different styles which bring out some of the best and "interesting" (to put it politely) arrangements I never thought I'd hear in my lifetime. Summary: The game has a very weak story, but an interesting set of gameplay mechanics. It's not terrible and can provide for some fun time wasting, but I wouldn't play it for more than a half-hour in a single sitting without getting bored. The replay value is there, but not super strong. Probably better for younger children who just want to wave their arms around in front of the Kinect to slightly outdated music.

Good game! Posted by: from: on I bought this one for dirt cheap when BB had a 1-day sale. So, I can't really complain. The game is a little repetitive. Similar to Fruit Ninja Kinect. But the kids love it and I bought this primarily for them.

Good for what it is Posted by: from: on Kinect games generally aren't fantastic, but Harmonix does well with this. The art direction is great, however it does hold your hand for a little too long, and Kinect has really wore out its welcome (not the fault of this product). The biggest surprise was that this wasn't full of DIsney songs, which I sort of just assumed it would be. An all-DIsney music game is entirely doable, unfortunately this is just more of the same pop-filled track list you see elsewhere. Ultimately I didn't love my time with this, but you might if you enjoy Kinect games. This is one of the best.
