The D63S has good battery life and works well on hardwood and short carpeting alike. I haven't yet tried a high-end model but for the price, it is hard to beat this bot.

Nice design, cleans area that cover well but doesn't know where it is going, skips large areas and can't go to the charger

This Robot Vacuum works okay for a small room (like bedroom). But it does not work for a large room like living room. If the space is large, it is very hard for it to find the charging equipment. BTW, one can not expect it as powerful as the regular vacuum: it can only do some small cleaning jobs.
