Cooling problem from day one. Called Best Buy, and they wouldn't do anything for us because we didn't buy the extended warranty. Called Frigidaire and they forwarded us to a local warranty service company. They've been out seven times to our house (and counting), and the problem still is not fixed. By now It would have been far cheaper and less aggravating if they had simply replaced the entire fridge. We've lost food, time on the phone, and time having to wait around for the never-ending repairs. The latest problem is that they ordered a replacement door, which arrived in damaged condition. They re-ordered, with the same result, two more times. Now we're waiting for a fourth door, which is on order. Frigidaire customer service is a joke and won't work with us. They don't care about the customer, only reading off of their script and making sure that they don't spend a penny they don't have to. They refuse to replace a product that clearly is a lemon, and insist on repairing it as many times as it takes until we get tired of calling or until our warranty expires. We will never order another Frigidaire/Electrolux appliance again, or a major appliance from Best Buy.

1st I was surprised at how noisy it was, but then very frustrated over the fact that it doesn't cool. At the coldest settings the freezer only gets down to 6 & the fridge to 36. Frigidaire says that it is within their specifications 2-8 degrees for the freezer when empty (everything you read including appliance thermometers has 0 to -10# so they will not do anything about it. I was going to return it and get a different brand, but Best Buy said that since it is over 15 days #although I initially called & complained about it prior to that) they will not refund/exchange it since I did not buy the service plan. I told him I was not offered one when I bought it, but he said there was nothing he could do. So now I'm stuck with a loud refrigerator that leaves the ice cream like mush. I will never purchase another Frigidaire & doubtful I will ever shop at Best Buy again.

Cheaply made - gasket coming off the door

Fridge has been working fine for about eight months until now. Recently, the door gasket -the cushiony part that outlines the inner edges of the door- has been peeling off, making it hard to close the door properly.
Come to think of it, after the fridge first arrived, the sides had several dents. I found similar defects in the two fridges that came as a replacement, and eventually gave up asking for an exchange because coordinating deliveries was a hassle and hey, as long as my food is kept cold, does the exterior really matter? It's not like the fridge is a brand new $500+ investment.
At least I now appreciate all my previous apartment owners for investing in fridges that last. Horror experiences like mine always seem to exist for online purchases so maybe you will luck out.

I bought this refridgerator because the price was right and I thought Frigidaire was a good name. Upon delivery I put a thermometer inside the fridge to see where I needed to set the dial. After a couple of days the fridge was hovering at 40 degrees, not quite cold enough for food storage, so I began working the dial to colder settings. Eventually I had the dial all the way to its coldest setting and still the fridge was hovering at 40 degrees.
I called Best Buy to get a replacement and when the second one came I had the exact same experience. It just will not drop below 40 degrees. I even bought a second thermometer to put in it in case the first one wasn't working properly. They both read 40. I'm having this replaced with a different fridge from a different manufacturer.

We purchased this unit because it fit within the specifications of the cabinets installed in the kitchen. We have had our Frigidaire refrigerator for the last two years and have had to replace the fan on it two separate times in those two years. The first replacement occurred nine months in and was luckily still under warranty. The second replacement was outside of the warranty period and cost over $200. When you consider that we originally purchased this unit on sale from Best Buy, we paid over 1/3 the cost of the fridge to keep it running. Dissatisfied as I would think any appliance should work longer than the first 9 months. Never purchasing a Frigidaire again.

I purchased this back in September and I'm already having so many issue, from door gasket coming off, water dripping inside the fridge, and a top all this it started making a loud noise every time it is cooling. Don't waste your money.

great refrigerator with a few flaws

bought this refrigerator on sale...had it on sale for about 100.00 less than their regular price on it....around 479.00 or 499.00..but right around there....delivery was quick...but it seem like the guys were in a hurry to go...even though it says its about 18 cu ft...it really only about 13 or 14 cu ft inside....smaller than advertised...but still roomy enough for me......started it up and runs good and strong...and cooled down quickly....i have this in the garage as an overflow or extra refrigerator when needed.....the energyguide say it uses only $51 a year cost...but it actually uses more...so my edison bill sent up about $20 a month.....so if you are on a budget or/and have edison like i do...then you might want an energy efficient one..those are more money .....edison is charging me about 22 cents a kilowatt for about 838 kilowatts used each month.....so i don't use it all the time...mostly on holidays...but if you have a electric provider that doesn't try to take advantage of you...you can use this year round...because it really comes in handy as a 2nd refrigerator.....but energy efficient...it is not...

have ref ridge turned to coldest to keep milk from going sour. could not finish off gallon of milk before it went bad. last fridge could keep 1.5 gallons. don't trust eggs after 1 week. it does look like temp went down on coldest setting.

Moving into a new house I wanted to be responsible for the first few months in spending. I opted for this fridge due to the price, but I wish I had spent more. This refrigerator is LOUD. It buzzes, hums, and overall very distracting if your kitchen is right next to your living room. Hoping to exchange it soon.

Worst Purchase Ever

Moved into a new house and wanted a refrigerator for the basement. Chose the Frigidaire because I didn't want to spend a large sum of money and we already had a Maytag in the kitchen. In the first week I noticed the temperature in the fridge was not cold in fact it was just a bit above room temperature. Had no problems with the freezer. Best Buy had someone come to check it out. We were told it wasn't cooling because our bottled beverages were pushed all the way back and it covered the cooling vent. Really? We have a fridge and can't utilize all the space. He moved the beverages, did something or another and said problem resolved. Only 1 problem, the fridge still didn't get cold. The gallon of milk I purchased spoiled 4 days before the expiration date, which has never happened. Needless to say we returned it and purchased another Maytag. I will never purchase a Frigidaire brand again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.
