Although it was challenging to purchase this service over the phone, (two separate phone calls at 45 minutes for each call because the reps were not familiar with installation packages), the technician who arrived was prompt, professional, quick with the setup of my Amazon Fire TV, (not a television but rather a streaming device), and showed me how to work the device. He even provided me with his cell phone # if I had any issues in the future. My advice; try and schedule this service for installation in a physical store, not over the phone. Once I got through 2 45-minute phone calls to purchase the service, I then had to call another person to actually schedule the service, (another 30-minute phone call). Again, pay for and schedule Geek Squad services at the Best Buy store, not over the phone.

I was a little hesitant about this based on comments I read here about terrible service. I had the opposite experience. The appointment scheduling wasn't ideal -- you really CAN'T schedule through your local Best Buy -- but from that point on it was excellent. I bought my TV in east Jefferson County/ Louisville and the installer came from southern Indiana. (Not that far from me, but interesting.) Zeke (may be Zach, sorry!) was great, patiently installed everything, asked me about add-ons such as DVD player, walked me through the process since this was my first smartTV AND first flat screen. He explained choices, offered advice, asked me about my usage to gauge my needs. AND was early, careful with furniture/walls etc., tidied up nicely and made sure I was fully happy with the install before he left. Couldn't have had a better experience.

The guys that came out to mount and install my TV above my brick fireplace and hook up the TV and Blu-Ray player were very nice and seemed knowledgeable. There was a lack of communication between the person who took my order by phone and the techs who actually came out to perform the work, but the techs were able to acquire the tools needed and an additional tech in a short period of time and get started. Overall I was happy with the service provided and couldn't have asked for more polite guys.
