H20 on iphone 4!!!
Posted by: strat2356 from: houston on
H2O uses att network so if your on tmobile or att u can switch to this carrier. You can even change your phone number. People on tmobile using your iphone 4 if you swich you dont have to worry about jailbreak or unlock to use your iphone 4 because your phone thinks its on att network. Remember 10 dollars i just for the sim you have to pay additonal 40 dollars for unlimited minutes & texts or pay 10 more dollars if you want internet is only 30mb but thats enough for me. Facetime also works on it just reset your settings on your phone if it initially does not work. Great product was paying att over 130 dollars a month and i can now afford to buy apps hope this helped you

DATA now available!!! Makes for a GREAT value!!
Posted by: smfish from: NY on
My husband and I just made the switch to H2o Wireless since I am tired of being locked in a contract and need unlimited minutes (we have no land line home phone, just cells). They also offer a data option now in their monthly plans, which is PERFECT for us. You can access the web, check emails and send picture messages - just like all the big name contract carriers but without the commitment. Since the use the AT&T GSM network, coverage is excellent.

NOTICE - SIM Card Deactivates!!!
Posted by: bsgf from: Amsterdam, Netherlands on
I now live outside of the United States but I return every 6 months or so to visit friends and family. I bought this SIM card to use while I am state-side. When I bought the card, H20 told me that my MINUTES would expire (fine) but they never mentioned that the SIM CARD in fact deactivates and cannot be reactivated remotely. The only answer, according to H20 tech support, is to go to the store and buy a new card. . . kind of hard to do when you're abroad and purchased the product so you can have a working US phone once the plane lands!
So, if you are looking to use a phone only periodically, this is not the card for you!

Works fantastic with locked iPhone 4!
Posted by: talltroym from: Lansing, MI on
I've been totally impressed with the wireless coverage with this service. I've traveled all around the Lansing area, over to Grand Ledge, south into Holt and Mason, even down into Charlotte (you'll lose it west of Ainger Rd though) and Eaton Rapids and have had great coverage with the service!
I've had to talk to customer service a few times, and the wait times were pretty long, but they were able to assist me both times. I haven't gotten the wireless data to work with the iPhone 4 yet, although I've read that others have. I'm using iOS 4.2.1, again on a LOCKED device, and I couldn't be happer with this service, especially for $40/month for unlimited calling and texting!
I purchased a locked iPhone 4 from a guy off Craigslist. I then purchased this wireless service, trimmed the included SIM to a Micro-SIM form factor, and inserted it into the iPhone 4. I connected the iPhone 4 to iTunes and it activated instantly, no problems!

Please don't switch to H2o
Posted by: LeNord from: Miramar, FL on
I switched to H20 on 11/15/11, I paid $60 for unlimited talk, text and messages. December 1st my phone was disconnected, when I called customer service, it took me 1 hour to talk to someone and on top of that the persons that I talk to were so rude. When asked why my phone was disconnected? they told me straight that I went over my minutes. I told them that I have an unlimited plan, they said cut the phone because I did unnecessary talking that's why the phone was disconnected. When asked to talk to a manager, they refused. They told me to buy minutes so I can have my phone back, if not I have to wait for the 15 days until I paid my monthly bill. Stay with your metro or Simpole mobile.

I had this phone for myself and my daughter, when my daughter transferred her number out, I went to cancel the automatic recharge, but there's no way to do it. Customer service told me no problem and we wouldn't be charged. Well, they took money off my credit card for the cancelled phone and I had to dispute the charge. In turn, they cancelled my phone too and no one at customer service could tell me why. That was a day before our family went out of town, so I really needed my phone then! Since my number was cancelled, I can't even transfer it to a new service. This is really unfortunate because I used to recommend this to anyone who would listen.

Bad Customer Service - Here's how to cancel
Posted by: atman from: Captain Cook, HI on
I bought this SIM card and signed up for their $25 a month plan for a used unlocked iPhone 3. It worked for a while but kept showing a "balance" screen every few minutes, even when my available balance was over $100 (from rare usage.) Their customer service said the balance screens could not be disabled, but appear only on their lowest-rate plan. When I upgraded the iOS to the current 6.0 version, the phone didn't recognize their SIM card any more. When I called their Customer Service, they had no solution. When I asked to cancel the service, they said they could only do it if I told them the last 3 phone numbers I had dialed with the phone. Since the phone was bricked, that wasn't possible. The way out of their hall of mirrors was to have them remove my debit card from the account, and let the account lapse and automatically cancel in 30 days from non-use. They were extremely unhelpful throughout my experience with them, and I would never do business with h2owireless or their parent company Locus Communications ever again.

At first I thought the price made up for the slow internet, it at first was and very long wait for customer service, However I started to notice that if I had a conversation longer than five minutes the call would drop, every single time. I finally decided to ditch the terrible service when they blocked my picture messaging five days into the month because they said I exceeded reasonable use. I didn't know sending a picture of my niece to five of my family members is considered unreasonable use. Great service if you plan on never using it. Also their internet service speed has seemed to get slower and slower. Don't waste your time with this, we all want a good carrier with a cheap price, this is a bad carrier for an expensive price.

Domestic calls/text works fine. International calls lag and have disruptions. Free international text means 100 outgoing textmessages. After that outgoing texts stop w/o notice. Incoming international texts still available at no cost.
