An amazing end to the trilogy. Posted by: from: Little Rock, AR on Excellent gameplay, smooth controls, beautiful graphics, and brought the series full circle to its conclusion.

Great Game Posted by: from: on Great game start to finish. The single player is an awesome continuation of the Halo story line and the online play is addicting!

must have for any gamer Posted by: from: Denver, CO on --I've tested the game and it's UNREAL--by far the best FPS and will lead the industry for years to come--Beta Testers were letdown earlier this year, but everything has been drastically improved. Graphics, Gameplay, Matchmaking,Achievements -4-way CO-OP campaign mode via splitscreen/XBOX LIVE---Topping what GEARS OF WAR did --GAME SAVE FILM & SHARE feature is out of this world. Kick some royal butt online, save and share with anyone on XBOX LIVE. Grab the popcorn men, because you'll be replaying your top online matches again and again --Regardless of this game being launched on a platform that has underpeformed with the 3-RED LIGHT -"Ring of Death" have no fear. Microsoft has stood behind their product TWICE for me. At no charge I've had my 360 replaced and back in working condition within 10-15 days. If this is holding you back from buying a 360 don't let it. I hear all new 360's with a product upc of March 07 or newer are in great shape. --High Def with 1080i highly advised. Not just for the hardcore gamer, but for the fan-base that truly appreciates a work of art when it comes to gaming. ENJOY!!!! ps--don't get Legendary---helmet is a plastic rip-off that faded in the sunlight. Save your $

WOW!!! Posted by: from: on I would definitely recommend buying this the second it comes out! I was one of the testers and this game seriously blows Halo 2 out of the water!!!

You finish the fight yes- but.... Posted by: from: Neenah, WI on Set right after Halo 2- the story of Halo 3 goes like this: Master Chief crashes in the jungles of Earth, he is rescued, has to get used to the elite's new alliance with humanity, chase the Prophet of Truth through a portal to the Halo rings's control room: the Ark, kill Truth, save Cortana from the Flood leader the Gravemind, and finally blow up the Ark and destroy the Flood. However the game leaves us off at a cliffhanger even more irritatting than Halo 2's. The campaign is fun; but it is only nine levels long and gets boring after the second time playing it. And in a way it rips you off because there are so many instances with the Gravemind that has "boss fight" written all over it, but you never do! It really makes you wonder what Bungie was doing during the whole three years they had to make this. Fortunatly: you can play campaign with your friends over the online magic that is Xbox LIVE, so there is some replay value. The multiplayer is fantastic and twice as strong than the previous two. Plus, there is even a neat little tool called "Forge" in which you can edit objects in any of the multiplayer maps. Objects keep in mind- not the overall layout. There is even a movie making feature called "Theater" in which you replay game data that you already played- and can watch it like a movie, make it a movie, take a screenshot, etc. Its a great game, but the story mode will leave you unsatisfied. But the multiplayer, Forge, and Theater modes greatly make up for it.

A Disappointment Posted by: from: on 1. I purchased this game the first minute it game out (yes, I guess you can say I was one of those freaks who waited out in line at 12:01am). The game was the greatest thing for about 2-3 weeks after release. 2. The graphics are great, the ability to edit maps is amazing, the weapons are OK but kinda "cheap", the story mode/campaign is the best so far out of Halo and Halo2. 3. If you do decide to purchase this game, you will enjoy it for a week or so, and then think of how you could have bought a tank or two of gas with that $60 instead of H3. It does get boring quick. 4. The online play is very customizable to how you want to play the game, but matches you up with your rank instead of skill. Many of the weapons can become cheap after time. Game play: 4 Graphics: 4.5 Online: 3 Customization/AI: 4 Weapons/Accessories: 4 Overall: 3.5

Great game for a new Xbox 360 gamer. Posted by: from: New york on The campaign is very fun especially through Xbox LIVE, playing with friends. But the ending left me thinking COME ON! I wont tell you if your buying this game but it upset me. I thought it would end gracefully, but not even close. Now the Xbox LIVE experience. Halo 3 on xbox live is very fun.. at first. You think this is awesome!!! Which it is at times. It still lacks guns, abilities, maps, and some hacking. But it is way faster than Halo 2 and much more fun. I would buy this game but once you play this game then say MW2 you'll see what I mean.

As good as the rest! Posted by: from: Chantilly, VA on While Halo has always been awesome, Halo 3 takes it to the next level. But if you're interested in a better Halo game purchase Reach. Better yet buy them both and complete your collection (if you already have 1 & 2). But if you have never played Halo or Halo 2, don't play this until you have played and finished them, they are on the same timeline and in sequential order, whereas Reach is kind of a prequel.

Best Xbox game by far Posted by: from: Albuquerque, NM on Although I am a Playstation 3 fanatic, I must say that Halo 3 was outstanding. I am disappointed that Bungie/ Microsoft won't allow it to go multi-platform but whatever. Any way, this game has many new features including: better vehicles, gravity hammer, spartan laser, amazing maps, and all of the bonuses of Halo and Halo 2. I would recommend this game to everyone. Young people, old people and Wii people. This game is amazing and everything abkout it is fun, except the single player (but who gets halo for the single player anyway). In other words, If your looking for the BEST multiplayer game out on the market for a console get Halo 3. But if your looking for a great single player game with pretty good online play on the consoles get Resistance Fall of Man. But if you are a PC gamer get Counter Strike Source, that has the best online play of any game on any platform of all time. But as for Halo3, it is currently the best console multiplayer game on the market and is definatly worth the money.
